The guide called the night before the tour, to the hotel and confirmed the pick-up time and left a phonenumber if it was unconvinient for us.
We had some missunderstanding of what tour we had booked but our guide just called her boss and we got exactly what we aksed for and some bonus guidings at teahouse and silkmarket.
The tour was very personall as my colleague and myself there the only one this day, so we enjoyed a private tour and got a lot of value for our money.
