Review of 1 Day Tour: Terra-cotta Warriors, Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall by Sean

I really enjoyed my trip to see these sights of Xi'an. ChinaTours.net made sure I had a good tour at a good price. They look out for their customers, and Wang stated. My guide, David, showed up on time at my hotel, and was very knowledgeable about the sites. Since he studied history in the university, he told me the terracotta warriors were pretty much his life's work. Very interesting person, and he was very passionate about what he does. David took me around to see the terracotta warriors, and even told me to stay away from vendors on the street selling replicas...only to buy the official ones at the factory, because they were made of a better grade of clay. We went to a great place to eat lunch, and he joined me there. Nice guy to talk with about stuff. We stay in touch. We also went to the East Wall to look around...and I learned of Fengshui...even bought more pixius....First, let me say that I collect Asian art, and like jade dragons and other similar works. David also talked to me about the Muslim quarter, which was near my hotel (adjacent). He told me my "assignment" was to navigate through there to experience the sights unique to Xi'an, especially the foods and meet the nice people there. He also talked to me about what to pay for and how much, etc. I did tip both David and the driver, and had no regrets about giving them a little more, because they both deserve it. I would gladly recommend David to be the tourguide for anyone visiting these sights in Xi'an, of course via ChinaTour.Net.
