Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Shanghai arrival by your own flight

Our guide will pick you up from Shanghai Pudong airport or Hongqiao airport by beforhand checking, and the tour guide will wait for your at the airport in advance to hold a sign with your name on it, then drive you to the hotel to have a good rest or you can enjoy the night life by walk around your hotel near the bund.

Day 2 Shanghai - Guilin by later afternoon flight (Breakfast+Lunch) 
Enjoy your breakfast in the morning, and be ready well for the day trip. Our guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel around 8:30am, and then star your trip to visit the biggest museum in China Shanghai Museum, the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history Yuyuan Garden, the highest TV Tower in Asia Oriental Pearl TV Tower , the former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period Bund area and Nanjing Road, after all of them, then see you off to the airport in the later afternoon.

You can boarding check the flight which we reserve for you in advance by your passport.

When you arrive in Guilin, our local English speaking guide will hold a sign with your name on it to welcome your arrival and transfer you to the hotel for rest.

Day 3 Guilin (Breakfast+Lunch) 

Meet your tour guide at hotel lobby at 8:00 in the morning. It takes about 1 hour to drive to Li River pier (Mopanshan pier) from downtown. The boarding time is scheduled at 9:30 am, and the whole journey takes about 4 hours. Embark and enjoy your Li River cruise to Yangshuo.

Li River is the highlight of Guilin tour, and whoever come to this city will be impressed by its natural beauty. The 54-kilometer waterway on the twisty Li River from Zhujiang to Yangshuo covers hundreds and thousands of grotesque peaks. The landscape is decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and is lined with bamboo. The water reflect the mountain and the sky, forming a picturesque scenery. Wonderful appreciation of a stirring “Movement of Mother Nature” ! 

A Chinese lunch box is offered on board by the cruise company.

Disembark at Yangshuo (Longtoushan pier) in the afternoon (1:30-2:00pm). Yangshuo, an ancient town with a history of over 1400 years, is the most beautiful town along the Li River. At the village of Gaotian to the south of Yangshuo, the fascinating pastoral scenery comes in sight. Yangshuo West Street is a place where you will find a lot of unique shops selling traditional handcrafts, hand-made scarfs, snacks of local flavor etc. It is quite fun to explore these small shops even if you don’t buy anything. Have a short exploration of the old town. You can also take an optional Bamboo Rafting on Yulong River to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river.

Drive back to Guilin after the tour.

Day 4 Guilin - Xian by afternoon flight (Breakfast+Lunch) 

Pick you up from your hotel. First you will visit Reed Flute Cave, known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", which holds a great number of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in different shapes. Then go sightseeing at Elephant Trunk Hill - the landmark of Guilin. The hill looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river with its long trunk. Then take an afternoon flight to Xian. When arrive in Xian, you will see our local guide to hold a sign with your name on it and assist you to check in the hotel for good rest, and you can know the pickup time for next day trip.

Day 5 Xian (Breakfast+Lunch) 

Then drive to Terra-cotta Warriors, which is 40 miles away from downtown. You will visit the greatest archaeological findings of the century, appreciate the marvelous Terracotta warriors in full battle array of Emperor Qin’s tomb.

In ancient China, when a person died, especially someone of high status or with wealth, there would be someone or something to be buried with the dead. The Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses were built to be buried with First Emperor of Qin when he died. Chinese emperors usually began to built their tombs when he was alive. Qin Shi Huang began to build his tomb soon after he became an emperor. It took about 40 years to finish the whole project. Over 700 thousand labors took part in the construction of the Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses.

Then visit the Bell Tower, the emblem of Xian. Then proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is widely renowned that Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show in the evening. 

Day 6 Xi'an - Beijing by afternoon flight (Breakfast+Lunch) 

This morning, you will visit the main museums in China Shaanxi History Museum, which collects the highlights of the Shaanxi culture and shows a development of the Chinese civilization. Then visit Ancient City Wall, an extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history. Then transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Beijing. Upon arrival at Beijing, be met at airport and transferred to hotel by Beijing local tour guide and driver.

Day 7 Beijing (Breakfast+Lunch) 
Full day trip to explore Beijing downtown. First visit Tian'anmen Square. The square witnessed the foundation of the People’s Republic of China and several important events in Chinese history. Then proceed to Forbidden City, which is the largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties with a history of 600 years. After lunch, visit Temple of Heaven, which is the place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation. Enjoy Acrobat show at Chaoyang Theater in the evening.

Optional activities: 1.Chinese Kung Fu Show at Red Theater ($35)  2. Peking Opera at Liyuan Theater ($35)  3. The Golden Mask Dynasty at Happy Valley ($40).

Day 8 Beijing (Breakfast+Lunch) 

Pick you up from your hotel, and then drive to Badaling Great Wall or Mutianyu Great Wall.We recommend Mutianyu section because it is the most beautiful section of the Great Wall. The vegetation coverage is about 96%. In summer, the mountains will be covered with green trees with the wall twisted and turned along the mountains. In late autumn, the leaves are turning yellow or red, the scenery is amazingly beautiful. Go hiking on the Great Wall for 2-3 hours. Cable car could help you reach the Great Wall.

After lunch, you will visit Dingling Tomb, also known as the Underground Palace, is the only tomb of the thirteen Ming Tombs to be excavated. Buried here are three individuals; Emperor Wan-li (died 1620), Empress Wang (died 1620), and another Empress Wang (died 1611).

Then, you will visit the Scared Road. The road is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors.

After the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.

Day 9 Beijing (Breakfast+Lunch) 

First visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China. It is a blend of natural scenery and artificial landscape. The mountains, waters and architecture together form picturesque scenes that are amazingly beautiful. UNESCO declared the Summer Palace “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design”.

Then take a Hutong tour to go through the old alleys by rickshaw. 

Day 10 Beijing Departure (Breakfast)

After 10 days long trip, you must be tired and miss your family, and we hope you are enjoyable and satisfied our package and service. Please check out of the hotel before 13:00pm or save you luggage at the reception if your flight in the later afternoon, and our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel according to your flight departure time and transfer you to Beijing Capital Airport.
