Tour Itinerary

Day 1  Shanghai Arrival

Upon your arrival at Shanghai, we will meet you at the exit of the arrival hall holding a sign with your name on it. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2  Shanghai

Pick up from hotel in the morning and your tour bigins with Shanghai Museum, which possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art and help you to get to know Chinese history and culture. Then visit the classic garden- Yu Garden, which has a history of over 400 hundred years and an architectural style of the Ming dynasty. 

Have a la carte lunch at noon at our selected restaurant.

In the afternoon, have a walk around the famous bund area and Nanjing Road, and take a short cruise on the Huangpu River. Back to your hotel after the tour.

Day 3  Shanghai-Guilin

On this day, we will pick you up from your hotel at the appointed time and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Our local guide will meet you at Guilin Airport ad transfer you to hotel in Guilin.

Day 4  Guilin

Pick you up from your hotel around 8:00am in the morning. First you will visit Reed Flute Cave, known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", which holds a great number of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in different shapes. Then go sightseeing at Elephant Trunk Hill - the landmark of Guilin. The hill looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river with its long trunk. Not far from it stands the Fubo Hill. There are lots of rock stone carvings and Buddha statues since Tang Dynasty. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of Guilin city if you climb to the summit. Then visit the Seven-star Park. The park is named after the Seven Star Mountain, where there are seven peaks just like the stars falling from the sky. It is a micro version of Guilin scenery.  Lunch included. Transfer back to your hotel after the tour. 

Day 5  Guilin-Yangshuo

Meet your tour guide at hotel lobby at the appointed time in the morning. Your tour guide will call you or leave a message the night before your tour to confirm pick-up time (usually around 8:00 am).

It takes about 1 hour to drive to Li River pier (Mopanshan pier) from downtown. The boarding time is scheduled at 9:30 am, and the whole journey takes about 4 hours. Embark and enjoy your Li River cruise to Yangshuo.

Li River is the highlight of Guilin tour, and whoever come to this city will be impressed by its natural beauty. The 54-kilometer waterway on the twisty Li River from Zhujiang to Yangshuo covers hundreds and thousands of grotesque peaks. The landscape is decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and is lined with bamboo. The water reflect the mountain and the sky, forming a picturesque scenery. Wonderful appreciation of a stirring "Movement of Mother Nature" ! 

A Chinese lunch box is offered on board by the cruise company.

Disembark at Yangshuo (Longtoushan pier) in the afternoon (1:30-2:00pm). Yangshuo, an ancient town with a history of over 1400 years, is the most beautiful town along the Li River. At the village of Gaotian to the south of Yangshuo, the fascinating pastoral scenery comes in sight. Yangshuo West Street is a place where you will find a lot of unique shops selling traditional handcrafts, hand-made scarfs, snacks of local flavor etc. 

Stay overnight at hotel in Yangshuo. If you would like to return to Guilin downtown, please inquire our tour operator to customize the itinerary in advance.

Day 6  Guilin -Chengdu

We will pick you up at appointed time from your hotel and transfer you to Guilin Airport for your flight Chengdu. Our local guide in Chengdu will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. 

Day 7  Chengdu

We will visit Chengdu Research Center of Giant Panda Breeding, where you can see the lovely Chinese pandas.the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center has been created and imitates the pandas’ natural habitat in order that they might have the best environment for rearing and breeding. The Center cares also has other rare and endangered wild animals.

Then visit Jinsha Site. The Jinsha site was accidentally discovered in February 2001 during real estate construction. Located about 50 km away from Sanxingdui, the site flourished around 1000 BC and shares similarities in burial objects with the Sanxingdui site. 

Then take a stroll at the Broad and Narrow Alleys. 

Day 8  Xian

Take a high-speed train from Chengdu to Xian in the morning (4 hours). Pick you up from the train station and transfer you to your hotel. after a short break, you will head to Shaanxi History Museum, where you can learn a lot about Chinese civilization and culture by having a close look at the historic treasures. 

Then proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The pagoda was built to store the scriptures and Buddhist relics Xuanzang brought from India in the Tang Dynasty.

Day 9  Xian

On this day, you will visit the world famous Terra-cotta Warriors, which was described as one of the eight wonders in the world and one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the twentieth centuries. It is said that each of the warriors was created with a prototype. 

Have lunch ar a local family and learn to make dumplings. 

In the afternoon, visit the ancient city wall, which was once one of the most impressive military defense systems in the world. Cycling is optional on the wall. Then visit the Great Mosque, a muslim mosque first built over 1200 years ago in Tang Dynasty.

Back to your hotel after the tour.

Day 10  Xian-Beijing

In the morning, you will take a high-speed train to Beijing. Our Beijing local guide will meet you at the train station and transfer you to your hotel. After a short break, we will take you to visit Temple of Heaven, which was the place where ancient emperors came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest.

Day 11  Beijing

Pick you up from hotel in the morning and start your tour with Tian’anmen Square. The square has witnessed several important events of China. Then proceed to the nearby Forbidden City, which remained the residence of the emperors for nearly five hundred years. The layout of the Forbidden City is based on a Chinese cosmic diagram of the universe that clearly defines the north-south and east-west axes. The buildings represent the largest and best-preserved examples of Chinese traditional architecture found today.

Have a larte lunch at a selected restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the most famous imperial garden-the Summer Palace. It is a blend of natural scenery and artificial landscape. The mountains, waters and architecture together form picturesque scenes that are amazingly beautiful. UNESCO declared the Summer Palace “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design”. 

Day 12  Beijing

On this day, your tour begins with the magnificent Great Wall, you can choose to go to Mutianyu section or Badaling section. Needless to say, the Great Wall is a must-see attraction for whoever come to China. Now, it is time to see for yourself.

Have lunch at our selected restaurant.

If time permits, we will stop by at the Olympic Stadiums –Bird’s Nest and Water Cube for a short exterior visit. Then proceed to Beijing Hutong. You will take a rickshaw to go through the old alleys.

Day 13  Beijing Departure

We will meet you at your hotel at appointed time and transfer you to the airport for your next destination.
