I had already been on the one-day tour to Suzhou and Zhouzheung which was great. We had the same tour guide for the 2 days in Hanzhou. He was very nice and accommodating and flexible. The tour of West Lake was grand. I would recommend less than an hour at the West Lake museum, because there is a lot of reading involved. Also we were eager to go outside, enjoy the weather and see the lake. The lunches were very good. We chose to stay a night in Hanzhou to avoid commuting from Shanghai for 2 consecutive days. ChinaTour.Net arranged a stay at the SSAW hotel, which was very nice and centrally located. The night at Hanzhou on our own was a treat: colorful water show on West lake, dinner at a restaurant. I highly recommend staying a night there...
