Tour Itinerary

Day 1  Beijing Arrival

Arrive in Beijing, be met & transferred to your hotel. Our guide will accompany you to check in.  The hotels in our package are located in the central Beijing-the famous Wangfujing Street. It would be very convenient to walk around, go shopping, have meals and etc.Free at leisure for the rest of the day, and you can walk along the Wangfujing street at night to feel the nightlife of Beijing.

Day 2  Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)

The first destination is Tiananmen Square, where the most important national ceremonies are held, surrounded by many historical buildings. From the square, you can walk to the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties with a history of about 600 years. Inside this imperial palace, we will explore its fascinating halls, pavilions with golden roofs and high red walls.

Then have a visit to Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors came to worship the heavens in hopes of good harvests.
In the evening (7:15~8:30 pm), enjoy the Peking Opera Show or Chinese Acrobat, or Chinese Kongfu show, (choose one show from these three options, depending on your interest)

Day 3  Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)

Today we will hike on the Badaling Great Wall or Mutianyu Great Wall, the most highlighted sight in Beijing. Please be prepared with your shoes since you will climb on the steps of the great wall. To reach the top of the great wall you can choose to hike on foot or take a cable car (cable car ticket not included). You will never forget the view on the great wall, one of the seven wonders in the world.
After lunch, we will visit Ming Tomb(Dingling) and Sacred Road, alone the sacred road there are many stone statues of people and animals on both sides. These are the loyal guarders of the royal graveyard. The Dingling Tomb is the only tomb that has been excavated among the 13 Ming tombs.

Optional dinner: Enjoy a famous Peking Duck Banquet (CNY330/person)for dinner in the most famous Quanjude Restaurant (Jinsong or Fangzhuang).

Day 4  Beijing to Shanghai by overnight train (Breakfast, Lunch) 

We will drive to Hutong, the old Beijing lanes, nearby Rear Lake area (Shi Cha Lake) and the typical Chinese quadrangles by rickshaws bicycle ride, where you can experience the real life of ordinary people in Beijing while across many narrow streets, which lasts for about 2 hours, led by local guide and pass many famous old building, like the drum tower, silver bridge, etc.
Have lunch in local family, home cooked Chinese dumpling, everyone loves it. After that, there will be a tea ceremony in local tea house to show you. 

Then visit Summer Palace in the afternoon, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years.
Scenic spots: 1. East palace gate, 2. the hall of benevolence and longevity, 3. hall of jade billows, 4. the hall of joyful longevity, 5. the covered walkway, 6. the marble boat, etc.
After the day tour, you will take overnight train D311 21:11-9:09 and there is no guide on the train. 

Day 5  Arrive in Shanghai (Lunch)

The Shanghai guide will pick you up from Shanghai railway station, and you can leave your luggage on the car, and then start the one day Shanghai city tour as below. First you will visit Jade Buddha Temple, a very famous Buddha temple in Shanghai with about 120 years' history. Then go sightseeing at Yu Garden, a famous garden in the south China. The symbol of Yuyuan Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. After that, have a tour to Oriental Pearl TV Tower, across the river, this is a good place to take pictures of Shanghai. Pudong New Area and Nanjing Road Pedestrain Street with lunch included. Get back to your hotel or transfer you to train station after the tour is finished in the late afternoon.
After the tour, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.

How to Book?
1. You can book online or by email, tell us which airport to pick you up and your arrival flight numbers and time, then receive our confirmation email.
2. When you arrive in Beijing, our tour guide will meet you at arrival terminal airport by holding a sign with your name on it and then transfer you to the confirmed hotel there.
