Day 1 Hong Kong
Welcome to Hong Kong, one of the most famous international metropolis of the world and also a gateway to China mainland. Upon arrival, make your own transfer to your hotel booked by us ahead. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Hong Kong
Free to explore the city on your own.
Suggested itinerary: ascend Victoria Peak to get a spectacular panorama of Hong Kong; visit the floating community of Aberdeen and then head to Repulse Bay for the romantic beach.
Day 3 Hong Kong-Guilin
Another day to explore the city by yourself. Then head to the airport by your own and take your flight to Guilin.
Upon arrival in Guilin, your local guide will pick you up and escort you to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest day.
Day 4 Guilin (lunch)
Pick you up from your hotel in the morning. Drive to Longsheng County to see the famous Longji Rice Terraces. Located in Longsheng County, Longji Terraced Field is built into the hillsides and look like great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill. This ingenious construction makes best use of the thin arable land and water resources in the mountainous area. Some parts of the fields were first built in the Yuan Dynasty and completed in the Qing Dynasty by the Zhuang people. Walk along the countryside paths and enjoy the amazing lanscape of old minority villages scattering among the magnificent rice terraces.
Among the terraced fields there stands two villages - Ancient Zhuang Village and Ping'an Village. You will see the two most famous scenic spots- "Seven Stars around the Moon" and "Nine Dragons & Five Tigers" in Ping'an Village. Also have a chance to see the local Yao Minority Women's Long Hair Show (optional with extra charge) before being transferred back to your hotel in Guilin at about 18:00.
Day 5 Guilin (lunch)
Pick you up and drive to Li River pier (Mopanshan pier) from downtown. The boarding time is scheduled at 9:30 am, and the whole journey takes about 4 hours. Embark and enjoy your Li River cruise to Yangshuo.
Li River is the highlight of Guilin tour, and whoever come to this city will be impressed by its natural beauty. The 54-kilometer waterway on the twisty Li River from Zhujiang to Yangshuo covers hundreds and thousands of grotesque peaks. The landscape is decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and is lined with bamboo. The water reflect the mountain and the sky, forming a picturesque scenery. Wonderful appreciation of a stirring "Movement of Mother Nature" !
A Chinese lunch box is offered on board by the cruise company.
Disembark at Yangshuo (Longtoushan pier) in the afternoon (1:30-2:00pm). Yangshuo, an ancient town with a history of over 1400 years, is the most beautiful town along the Li River. At the village of Gaotian to the south of Yangshuo, the fascinating pastoral scenery comes in sight. Yangshuo West Street is a place where you will find a lot of unique shops selling traditional handcrafts, hand-made scarfs, snacks of local flavor etc. It is quite fun to explore these small shops even if you don’t buy anything.
You can also take an optional Bamboo Rafting on Yulong River to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river.
Cycling around the countryside is also quite fun. Ask the tour guide to rent a bicycle for you.
A night show of Impression Liusanjie is highly recommended.
On this day, we will arange you to stay overnight at Yangshuo. If you perefer to go back to Guilin, you can ask our tour operator to customize the itinerary for you.
Day 6 Guilin (lunch)
Drive back to Guilin in the morning. First you will visit Reed Flute Cave, known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", which holds a great number of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in different shapes. Then go sightseeing at Elephant Trunk Hill - the landmark of Guilin. The hill looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river with its long trunk. Not far from it stands the Fubo Hill. There are lots of rock stone carvings and Buddha statues since Tang Dynasty. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of Guilin city if you climb to the summit. Lunch included. Transfer to the aiport after the tour for your next destination.
