Day 1 Shanghai Arrival
Upon your arrival at Shanghai, we will meet you at the exit of the arrival hall holding a sign with your name on it. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Shanghai
Pick up from hotel in the morning and your tour bigins with Shanghai Museum, which possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art and help you to get to know Chinese history and culture. Then visit the classic garden- Yu Garden, which has a history of over 400 hundred years and an architectural style of the Ming dynasty.
Have a la carte lunch at noon at our selected restaurant.
In the afternoon, have a walk around the famous bund area and an ancient cultural street -Tianzifang, and take a short cruise on the Huangpu River. Back to your hotel after the tour.
Day 3 Shanghai-Lhasa
We wil pick you up from your hotel in the morning and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. Upon your arrival at Lhasa, our local guide will meet you at the arrival exit and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is left for you to adapt altitude stress.
Day 4 Lhasa
Your first destination of Lhasa is Tibet Museum, where there are many treasures and you can learn a lot about Tibet. The next stop is the Norbulingka Park, which is regarded as the Summer Palace in Lhasa.
In the afternoon, you will visit Sera Monastery. Built in 1419 by one of the Tsongkhapa’s disciples, it is a complex of structures with the Great Assembly Hall, the dwellings in the eastern side and three colleges in the western side. You may have a chance to watch Buddhism debating, which is a spectacular way of discussing about Buddhist knowledge.
Day 5 Lhasa
Your first destination is the Potala Palace. At an elevation of about 3,770 meter, the Potala Palace occupies an area of more than 360,000 square meters. As the winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, it symbolizes Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional administration of Tibet.
Then drive to Jokhang Temple. Situated in the center of the old section of Lhasa, Jokhang Temple was one of the most important religious centers in Tibet it was built in the mid-7th century A.D. by the legendary king Songtsen Gampo, and later extended by successive rulers, it has now become a gigantic architectural complex. You will also visit the Barkhor Street nearby.
Day 6 Departure from Lhasa
Pick you up from your hotel at appointed time and transfer you to the airport for your next destination.
