We hire a car with driver for one day in Beijing to visit some sights in the city. It is very convenient, we are flexible to decide last minute where to go, the driver drop you in front of the entrance and when you want to leave you call him and he pick you up at the same place. Pricing is also very clear 100 km and 8 hours are included and an extra fee for additional hours or km's.
For Shanghai we try also to rent a car with driver, but I asked a quote to visit Zhujiajiao in the morning and use the car for the rest 3-4 hours.
