I have stayed at several hotels thoughout China and I liked Jianguo Qianmen very much. Their staff is friendly and they do speak english, believe it or not this is not very usual in other 4 star hotels in China. It is located at a reasonable distance by taxi to major city attractions, the price is also affordable. The bad things are: 1. You have to pay an additional fee (7 dollars daily) if you want to use internet in your room. There are no western food restaurants around (you may need McDonalds from time to time to feel at home).
The overall rating is good, I recommend you to book this hotel. If you do, make sure to print the address and full name of the hotel since there is another Jianguo Hotel somewhere else. I was taken there first by the taxi.
