I have stayed at several hotels thoughout China and I liked Jianguo Qianmen very much. Their staff is friendly and they do speak english, believe it or not this is not very usual in other 4 star hotels in China. It is located at a reasonable distance by taxi to major city attractions, the price is also affordable. The bad things are: 1. You have to pay an additional fee (7 dollars daily) if you want to use internet in your room. There are no western food restaurants around (you may need McDonalds from time to time to feel at home). The overall rating is good, I recommend you to book this hotel. If you do, make sure to print the address and full name of the hotel since there is another Jianguo Hotel somewhere else. I was taken there first by the taxi...
This was my second stay at Beijing Jianguo Qianmen Hotel & the stay was very comfortble. My first stay was for 5 days & this time I stayed for 7 days. The hotel is well located as most of the intresting places are not very far from the hotel. The popular Wang Fujin Shopping Street is also about 10 minutes by a taxi & hence one can spend a good amount of time going shopping. The hotel also provides its guests the facility to book guided tours for most of the popular places to be visited in and around Beijing & hence it becomes very comfortable. The rooms are very well maintained & the staff is very courteous to respond to your needs. I highly recommend anybody who is visiting Beijing either for Business or Pleasure to stay at this hotel & you will definately make it a repeat stay...
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel . Its centrally located to many sight seeing locations. The Hotel is comfortable, clean and provided a great staying experience...
This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel. It was on my first night on China Ground. It was a pleasant experience. The hotel is well situated, near buses that can bring you to the subway. It is in a quiet surronding and the bed was very confortable. The price is also very appealing (even if I didn't knew that I had to make a deposit of 600 yuans for the room). I don't hesitate to recommand it to you. Have a nice stay...
My wife and I stayed at this hotel from April21 to April 28 2007.We both enjoyed this hotel very much. The rooms are spacious and very clean.Yes the beds are firm...but this is what we want.It is about 1 mile from the nearest subway station but very close to many bus stop going to the suway station.Across the street large groups of Chinese learn ball room dancing on the side walk. Anyone can join them. Our stay included free tickets to see the Beijing Opera located in the hotel.Excellent choice of hotel...
It was my first time staying this hotel. I like it. I will choose this hotel next time when I visit Beijing...
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is well located, close to the antique market, good local resturants, and local clothing shops, etc, and only a short taxi ride from the main attractions and central shopping district. The room was more spacious and better appointed than a four star hotel I stayed at previously. Added attractions were the in-house Liyuan Opera Theatre and a traditional Tea House next door. Great value and I would stay there again...
