we had chance to be in building 3 just after it was renovated. That means clean carpet and no bad smell. Good as usal and we like the Thai restaurant in the conpound. It is just a petty they dont change the carpet with wooden floor..
After finalizing our adoption in Guangzhou- we flew to Beijing and arrived at the Jinlong Feb 14, 2006 at 11pm that evening. The lobby was very nice and up to date and nobody at the service desk could speak any English. We was also charged a deposit that wasnt posted online although we did get that back when we checked out. We went to our room and was very disappointed- as the room did not match the online photos. The room was shabby- but clean, the carpet had bleach stains, the refriderator wasnt even plugged in and cold to put the baby's milk and jc in, the Jinlong confirmed our reservation that they had a crib, they brought us a twin fold up cot for 19m old baby. We told them no we didnt want a cot for the baby- we needed a crib and was told they didnt have any. So our daughter slept between us in the king size bed. The room was very warm and we could not get it to cool off without opening windows. They advertised they had a resturant onsite- there wasnt one- it was closed and so we had to leave and go elsewhere for breakfast. Our room rate included breakfast which we had to go elsewhere and pay for and was not refunded. We only stayed the one night and cancelled the rest of our stay and went across the street to the Gloria which was more expensive per night- but was clean, had a crib and nice resturant onsite. Took us an hour to check out as again no-one could speak English as to why we wanted to leave early and wanted a refund on the remaining 2 nites and fortunately our guide came to our rescue and translated.
