If you wnat a reaaly good value, in a great downtown location, this hotel is for you. Well placed, nicely apointed, REASONABLE, and attentive staff. I have stayed here for about 4 years, and it keeps getting better...
I have stayed here many times over the past year or so, and have no complaints at all. The staff are very friendly and suffer my very poor basic chinese with a smile !!..
I spent 9 days at the Tianhong Plaza in Beijing and would give the hotel a very positive review. I was spending most of my time in at Tsinghua Universtiy and found this hotel to be the nicest hotel near the school. It took about 10-15 minutes by taxi . The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was a nice size and quiet and furnished very well in western style furniture. The bed was good. Internet access was excellent. The bistro restaurant was very good with a large breakfast buffet covering western and asian tastes. Not much of interest immediately around the hotel with the exception of a Walmart. The Beijing subway was a few blocks away and you can get to many of the sights of the city using it very fast. I would choose this hotel again if I needed to stay in the area...
