Worst booking ever. Our flight to Beijing was delayed and we tried to call the hotel many times, but the line was blocked all the time. On the other number they just hang off. So we just go to the hotel and our room was gone. Never again..

Great room, service and food for reasonable price! Highly recommend! this hotel is a very good hotel when comparing it rates and services with other hotels nearby. beware of the intrenet charges. if you bring along your laptop and use its cable provided, fine, it's free, otherwise you will be charged. NO WIFI! how disappointed. the location is very close to the shopping street of WanFuJing but if you have young children, the walking distance would be far difficult for the young ones. generally, we are very happy with the hotel. it's clean and very comfy. the pool was a little colder than expected at first, but after talking to the pool attendant, he put the temperature up for us. my two young chaps were very happy. the food at the hotel was great! thought it's a little expensive... the apple juice cost RMB30.00 plus 15% sevuce charge, when the whole bottle of fruit juice cost RMB8.00 at the convinnient store next door... horray......

Of the many hotels in which I have stayed during my visits to China, I am including The Prime Hotel as one of my favorites. The decor, to my liking, is more traditional than most and the staff , from housekeeping to management, was professional, very friendly and always willing to be of assistance when needed. Amenities include a full service spa, indoor pool and a reasonably well equipped gym. The location is quite close to many landmarks including The Forbidden City , Tiananmen Square and Benhai Park which is surrounded by a lake and features several restored Temples. The National Art Galley is across the street from the hotel and shopping is close by as well. Being centrally located, the hotel is a 12 to 30 Yuan ( $1.50 to $4.00) taxi ride to Tiananmen Square or the well known shopping areas such as the Pearl Market, The Silk Market and my favorute, The Dirt Market. The food at the hotel is quite good but there are also many fine restaurants, as well as local dumpling and noodle shops, nearby if you are feeling adventerous. Lastly , there was nothing in the way, insofar as the service and staff friendliness, which was exceptionally different from most 5 star hotels in which I have stayed. It was an enjoyable stay and fully deserves a 4 star rating. Truly a great value. I will return ...

This hotel has a lot to offer. Great location to shopping, markets, and great restaurants. It is a very comfortable 20 min walk to the Forbiden city, Tienman square. as well as the museums. The service is wonderful. the rooms are spacious and cleaned twice a day. WE did get STUNG by a taxi that the hotel arranged for us to the airport. It cost us over 250rmb for a ride that should have cost us only 100rmb. The hotel organised a taxi with no meter and we did not realize till half way to the airport. and by then too late to get out and find a new taxi. This really surprised us as we had been warned previously and so we got a price from the hotel but the taxi driver would not release our luggage till we paid him the 250 rmb; so had no choice but to pay...

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly in general (especially John from the concierge). However, the service level on the executive club floor was way below our expectation especially for a 5 star hotel. The hotel is located a good 15 minutes walk from Wangfujing's pedestrian mall and not so convenient for cabbies in terms of its location vs the normal flow of traffic...

The prime Hotel at Wangfujing in Beijing is fabulous. I haven\'t heard it mentioned a lot,, but we think it is great. The room is very nice (king sized bed). The best thing about it is the location. We have enjoyed the Wangfujing shopping area. The hotel is located only 2 blocks from this modern pedestrian shopping mall. Near this is the famed night market where vendors line up with all sorts of exotic snacks on a sticke (think insects, reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans) Worth checking out!..
