Review of Beijing Taiyue Suite Hotel & Apartment by Lily

This is the first time I have stayed at the Taiyue Suites. I would never come back to this hotel again. I stayed in the hotel for five days in May of 2008. I paid for a two-bedroom deluxe suite. Though I did have a view, it was a very old building in front of my window, and I had to keep my curtains down all the time to avoid the view. I went to the restaurant downstairs at the first floor with my three-year-old to have breakfast, the service person in the restaurant informed me that I had to pay 68 RMB for the kid, since the room only provides one free breakfast. I told them I had a two-bedroom suite which is the most expensive room type in the hotel, and I assume that two-bedroom would include another person, and the service person told me that it does not matter, one suite one free breakfast! The coffee maker in the room does not work, when I tried to make coffee, the hot water with coffee spills out from the coffee maker, and my child was standing nearby, and I quickly used the towel to dry it, and the hotel wanted to charge me 25 RMB because I got the towel dirty. Service crew has very little smile, and maybe it’s the weather….. When I was going to check out of the hotel, the front desk told me that I need to pay 18 RMB for the coffee I opened the first day (that’s the spilt coffee which made the towel dirty). I was speechless.
