Not to be recommended. Very seedy. I think we were in room 201. We didn't arrive until 1.00a.m in the morning (staff all asleep in and behind reception),so we had to accept what we had been given. The carpet was filthy, door to bathroom was covered in filthy finger marks and the beds were like rocks. Thank God we were only there for a short sleep (6 hours). Water barely warm for a shower and towels old and hard. The breakfast, well....lets forget it ! no eggs, no coffee. We stood outside for half an hour, no passing taxis. Ended up hiring a limousine car, which seems to be the norm and 4 times as much as a normal taxi. Although I have never been to the red-light-district in any country I felt like this would be one of the sleezy hotel rooms they would use...
We stayed at this hotel only one night but if my booking had been for longer than this I would have switched hotels. I was glad that we had taken sleeping bags as I am not sure how clean the bed linen was the room smelt of smokking and the bathroom was very dirty not a hotel to be recommended. In other cities I stayed in hotels for 269CNY a little more than the 185 paid here but well worth the extra clean power showers rather than the dark dirty bath shower here and large double beds rther than the small dirty ones here...
The room was dirty, half the lights and electrics didn't work. The bed linen was "tatty", the bathroom/shower drain was blocked. I stayed for 4 days before moving to a better Hotel. I would NOT recommend this Hotel to anybody except my worst enemy...
on the first night 16 Oct.2009, I requested the hotel to change the new room as no hot water, and TV is bad, the front desk was good changing the better room for me, so I stay one more night before leave to Jiuzhaigo for 4 days. I booked Bin Jiang Hotel before leaving. as I think the hotel is close to down town and the bus station, and I could not easily access to the internet. it is hard to look for the lower rate than this hotel if not access to the internet. When I came back from Jiuzhaigo on the 22 -23 the front desk is OK for the same hotel rate that I have booked, but on the 24 oct. the other personel who was a lady require to raise up the room rate 80 yuan more than the rate that I have booked. she said the hotel is full with the guests come to conference in Chendu, my room rate is lower than the new comer so she want me to pay the new rate. I decline to pay the raise up rate, so we have quarrel as it was not fair to me, and I told them that they could not chase me out by raising the rate as I have booked already. I told them I will complain to the Tourism Bureau and the Hotel complaint center, they didn't do the professional business, they just do the Chinese business. and they wasting my time, as I had to look for another hotel to stay, and as I am travel alone it is difficult for me to move my baggages. after the quarrel one day they have changed their mind in the following day. as I was going to check they allow me to stay until I left for my country at the same rate that I have booked. I think they changed their mind as they didn't want me to report to the Tourism Bureau and the Hotel complaint center. anyway this hotel is quite clean but the front desk personel could not understand english, I found only one person who could understand english...
