Fuzhou – Apollo Hotel (June / 2013) Planned to stay at this hotel two nights with my family. The A/C did not work in the room, and the breakfast was terrible. The people at the hotel were not very friendly or helpful. When we were there it was very humid, and smoggy. The hallways smelled of smoke. Chinese people were smoking everywhere, even next to the no-smoking signs. Would not recommend this hotel or the Fuzhou area for travel or visit. DJ –USA..
We booked the suite at the hotel in February 2012 and found a few things not up to expectations.For one the breakfast was like one mess hall and quite depressing .The food served was like they served you at a canteen and mainly very localised with not many choices.At the room the heater was not working and they had to bring us a mobile electric heater.And you have to let the hot water run for a while before it gets hot enough to have a shower.Its a three star hotel and best to have your breakfast across the road at a Dim Sum restaurant.I would not recommend this hotel for travellers ...
The location is very good. The lobby smells of smoke. I stayed in a suite and it was almost as good as a 5 star suite. The evening food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. The breakfast was worse. I had room service and the salad was sour. I called room service and they said it was just made. nonsense. I will never stay at that hotel again. A friend who lives in Fuzhou recomended this hotel. When I return to Fuzhou I will stay at the Shangri-La Hotel...
My father lives at the hotel...the service is great on the 13th floor. The attendant is very helpful. But the hotel should be a little cleaner for comfort.....i saw that there was a tennis court but for some reason no one can use it. Don't know why! We should be able to use it. The staff should speak a little bit of english for english speaking guests. The should be a game room. The kitchen of the rooms should be bigger. They should sell more on the downstairs store in the lobby. Directions to the pool hall room should be posted at least in the lobby of the hotel. The restaurant should have a bigger variety of food for a buffet. They should include room service...
1 lift speed slower 2 breakfast should provide for more western food 3 2nd level dining place seat are stained and some torn 4 your staff are courteous but should be more helpful e.g. whwne I asked to confirm return air-ticket of Xiamen Airline, your staff should have told me that there was a counter service at behind and not ask me to the front air-line counter 5 your recption counter should provide more service like postage to overseas 6 Your hotle loctaion is good near all conveniences like shopping. Generally, your servuice is good and charges reasonable. Me my brother and father were happy. We would come to your hotel if we come to Fuzhou again.
