I choose this hotel because it was the cheapest one 'close' to the airport, with pick-up service and breakfast. The hotel was not close to the airport. There was no pick-up service There was no breakfast coffee or the. The room was clean but very cold, the shower cold water. The picture has nothing to do with the reality. I arrived in the middle of the night, a little bit scarry because the taxi drviver never heard about the hotel and it seemed I was the only guest... Will never go back even if the price was low!..

It is not true that is given on the web site. 1. This hotel is not very closed to Pudong Airport. On the web site 10 km from Pudong Airport but it is about 70 km. 2. On the web site transfer to/from Pudong Airport is free but we had to pay 129 RMB for taxi. 3. The taxi driver had to ask other taxi drivers and police to find this hotel. 4. The employee in the hotel did not speak English ( she knows only few words). I had booked this hotel it was so bad, you should takeout this hotel from your website..

The hotel was quite nice an the service very good. The rooms were quite OK and the surroundings were very genuine and made a rather interesting contrast to Shanghai center. The restaurant served an extremely good breakfast for free, but was closed for lunch and dinner. Transfer to and from the Pudang airport, 10 km away was free and very convenient...

I chose it for the price and proximity to airport, i came from local airport an Taxi had a dificult time to get there, the picture of the reception has nothing to do with reality, its ugly messy and dirty in the middle of an industrial area, no place to get a bite, i asked for water and they took me to a close store to buy it, i didnt get the wake up call they ofered, the rooms could be cleaner as the bathroom, ive been to cheepear ande cleaner hotels DEFINITELY NOT RECOMENDED!!!..

I was reassured by the hotel's simplicity and also lack of super expensive tack ons for service. I.e. the only expense I can recall was a 100 RMB note as to the door 'key', actually a sliding card which was fully refunded the next morning. I prior to arriving spent 5 days in Chongquing and frankly dreaded the thought of 250 plus USA dollar a day hotels with carefully calibrated 'help' which I would not want anyway, and all that. The staff was direct, friendly, and also threw in a ride to the air port via one of their staff cars. And I was not bothered by 'service' and attention I did not want. For allowing a person to relax and to unwind prior to a long flight across the pacific, this hotel is IT. I fully intend to return to this hotel if I return to Shanghai in the future and avoid the celebrity hotels like the plague. Andrew Beckwith, PhD..

I choose this hotel because it was the cheapest one 'close' to the airport. Well, close is the wrong word, but because you could go over the highway I was at the hotel in 15-20 minutes, which was fine. I went by taxi, which costed me exactly 60 RMB, but when I arrived I heard I could have taken the free shuttle-bus... The hotel was a little old, but fine, I mean, what do you expect if you go for the cheapest hotel!? The staff was very friendly and the next day I took the shuttle-bus and was perfectly on time at the airport. My opinion overall is positive, but they should be more clear about the free shuttle-bus and the distance from the airport...

We chose this hotel for the price, the distance, and that it was advertised as "three-star hotel." Well, it is not a three-star hotel. It is not close to the airport. We were not told where to find the "free airport shuttle." At the airport, we asked a representative from another hotel to call and ask where the shuttle would be, and we were told where to wait, but the shuttle driver was expecting us. The shuttle van was in worn condition, no identifying writing or logos anywhere, and two employees inside who did not speak English. After a 20 minute trip, we started to wonder where we were going. It was not a pretty area (this was before the earthquake). It reminded us of our 80s adventures to Mexico City and our cheap hotels. Upon arrival, we noticed there were many pieces of furniture outdoors (we never asked why). The indoors is nicer than its surroundings. Once there, were greeted by the manager(?) in English. We quickly checked in and went up to our triple room; a high ceiling room with three of the hardest beds ever encountered. There was an odor emanating from the bathroom, although it looked fairly clean. The room had furniture which looked straight out of the 70s and looked its age. There was a tv and telephone. There were bathroom slippers in the closet, and little bottles of mouthwash and shampoo in the bathroom. No washcloths (also like Mexico and most of Europe), but clean towels. Since we had scheduled a tour that night, we had to leave immediately, and were grateful the manager arranged a taxi to take us into town right away. It took about 45 minutes to get into town. The area became nicer and nicer as we got closer to town. The next morning, we were not given a free breakfast, but the manager did order lunch for us in Chinese since no one in the restaurant spoke English. It tasted fine, but we did get upset stomachs later that day. We also were welcomed into the back office to use the internet twice, which we appreciated. We were taken to the airport by the hotel shuttle. Not what was advertised, but everyone was really friendly, and you can't beat a room for three for the price ($35), the taxis did not cost that much ($10). We also went into town using the high speed train which was fun, but MORE expensive ($60/RT for three). Thinking back, we did appreciate it was away from the tremendous noise and bustle of downtown...

I had booked this hotel only because I had flight to Germany from Pudong Airport at 23.30 and I had to have hotel very closed to the Airport. I had stayed only one night in this hotel - it is not longer as I booked and I am sure that I will not choose this hotel in future.
