Location is so-so.. takes about 10 mins stroll to the nearest train station. Room condition is terrible. Can't believe that this is a 3 star hotel.. carpet is dirty and seems like it hasn't been cleaned for a long while...
Bad telephone service. My mom tried to call me in the evening of 11/01/2008 Beijing time from Canada. She connected to the phone operator several times and asked her to switch the line to my room. However, the operator rudely hung up the phone every time except the first time when I was not in the room. With frustration, my dad then asked the operator to switch the phone line to the duty manager, and of cause, got refused. After more than 2 hours struggle, my parents eventually bypassed the operator and connected to the front desk and had the front desk switched the line to my room. I would suggest that if you expect your family or friends to contact you in case of whatever happens, do not choose this hotel, unless they have improved their service (but how do you know until you are really in case?)...
