Jin Jiang Hotel is our hotel of choice when in Shanghai and it is even better with the additional South Building. We stayed in the North building in 2005 and this year we were moved to the South building and were even more pleased. The rooms are great and very clean. The service is 5 star and the price included a breakfast the would match a top resturant's brunch. We plan on staying there again...

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Jinjiang Hotel in Shanghai. Our large room with king sized bed in the Grosvenor House wing included a nice bar in the entry, a walk-in closet and a bathroom as large as some hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. While a bit on the hard side, the bed was the most comfortable we enjoyed in our 2-week visit to China. The front desk was helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The Jinjiang Hotel in Shanghai is a great value for the property. It's in a perfect location, in a nice area near Huihai and easy distance to one of our favorite areas, Xintiandi. The rooms and bathroom are large. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. The grounds were beautiful. We could walk everywhere, or easily grab a cab from the hotel. We definitely plan to stay there again...

The only state guest house in Shanghai with a long history of visits by leaders of many countries. Old-world charm with the architecture, lawns, fountain, restaurants. Excellent service and facilities with the added benefits of a pool, sauna and beauty salon. Very interesting photographs of dignitaries as well as of old Shanghai. I highly recommend this hotel if you would like a change from the all the modern hotels...
This hotel has a big WOW factor. The rooms are big with its own living room and 2 toilets. The concierge did not speak english which made things alittle difficult at times when tring to get directions. The restaurants were very appealing and there is many to choose from from formal dinning to a great beer garden. The only major complaint is that although they did not change your sheets unless asked, they also did not vaccum the floors which lead to a small ant problem from the food we brought back to the room. Also there are a lot of beggers right outside the hotel which made things really dificult to take walks at night once they knew you would help them out with money or food...

Our room # was 157. We enjoyed our stay for 8 days same as what we booked. Everything was fine except the water in show tub started to turn yellow after our third or fourth day of stay. But the service guys were very helpful and we knew they tried very hard to fix the problem. Overall, we like the hotel very much...
