I recently stayed at Ocean Hotel in Oct. 2006 and must advise future clients of how terrible my experience was. I checked the reviews before I went and chose this hotel because one review stated 5 out of 5 stars. I can't imagine how this is possible. A generous rating would be ONE STAR. The air condition works, but warm air only, regardless of how many times I reported it. The towels were orange in color and very old - some even had red stains on them. The front office staff were unpleasant, I've yet to see a smile. No one could speak english except when they thought there was a problem with my credit card (the card company needed me to contact them for verification). I got a call to come down to the front desk from someone who spoke excellent english, but when I went down that person was not available and I was treated as if I was trying to stay without paying. They would not even assist me to make a phone call. I had to go out to the bank. Luckily I had enough cash to pay them in full. I was misled by the staff about restaurant hours and ended up without dinner because it was closed, etc. etc. I could go on and on. PLEASE DO NOT BE MISLEAD. THIS HOTEL IS NOT WORTH EVEN $20 PER NIGHT. I am a hotel manager myself and value reports, so I wrote a report for their manager before I left and hope they will take notice.
