Our tour was a specialised tour as we started in Beijing with pick-up from hotel, flights and tour all inclusive.
The tour was well organised, we were looked after all the way from our hotel in Beijing, through the airport, met at the other end and then through the tour and all the way back. Our contacts all spoke good english and were helpful and polite.
The Terra-cotta army was fabulous. The Hua Qing hot spring was OK and our guide easily agreed to not visit the optional factory (ie shopping destination) which was a relief !
The only bad parts were :-
a) Doing the tour in a day is a bit of a rush - ideally you'd have longer in Xian but we didn't have the time
b) It rained heavily all day, you might want to think about when you visit, we didn't
c) The food at the Terra-cotta army was the worst common denominator of western and chinese cuisine combined. Didn't ruin the day, but certainly wasn't a highlight.
