We went to this 1 day tour from Beijing; everything worked well, it could be better if we had more time, we had our flight changed, so we went after the previously time and came back before, so we had only about 6 hs,and could not go to visit the park (Horses and Hua Qing Hot Spring), but anyway, the real purpose was to visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors, and this was really wonderfull, so much history to see and learn; by the way, our tour guide, Phenix (I can't remeber her chinese name), did a very good job, explainig and showing all the parts of the museum). I hope I can come back once, to see more of this work that the people are doing to reconstruct all the army...
Our 1 day Tour Terracotta Warriors from Beijing by air on 7 July 2011 was good, however we were tired with the timing of the flights (being the earliest flight out and the latest flight back), taking two flights within one day is tired. We had to wake up at 5:00am in the morning for the driver to collect us from our Beijing Hotel at 5:15am. We were at Beijing airport by 6:00 am, more than 1 hours before departure of our 7:15am flight. The return flight we were booked on was not until 8.50pm at night, arriving into Beijing at 10.40pm...
Our tour was a 1 day tour to see the terracotta warriors from Beijing. We were notified several times in our hotel about the time of the flights, so no problem there. Early in the morning we were collected from the hotel and dropped off at the airport (no escort to check in). One point here, we were not told to bring passports or booking information, luckily we had the common sense to bring them, but if you had not, you would not be able to board the plane. Personally, I think it would be useful to mention it in the telephone reminders the night before, to save any hassle at the airport. We were met in Xian by Daisy and her driver. Dailsy was very knowedgeable about chinese history and clearly was proud of her city and it's past. We had the obligatory tour of the Terracotta warriors pottery factory, which while interesting enough, is not something we would choose to visit. After looking at the various manufacturing processes, you pop out in the shop, where you are encouraged to buy. On to the high light -- the terracotta army. We were lucky, nice weather and few people. It is a wonderful experience and lived up to expectations. Once again, Daisy showed us around, adding in depth comments on the various sights there. very good. There was no time pressure and we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted. From here we went to a restaurant for some lunch - definately not a high light. Although the food was included in the price it was probably the poorest quality that we had in our whole stay in china. It would be worth paying a bit more and getting some decent food, especially as this is the main meal of the day, as you start really early (collected at 5am) and it is about 9pm before you hit beijing again. We did a tour of the hot springs, which was fine and then, ran out of time and headed for the airport. Daisy saw us through to check in and arrived back in beijing, where we were delighted to find someone with our name on a board at the airport to take us back to the hotel. All in all, a well organised tour, with just a few points to fine tune on. I would have no hesitiation booking with them again. it was very well organised and our tour guide Daisy was excellent. She spoke very good English and was very informative about the chinese history. We were picked up at our hotel in the morning' after a phone call the night before to tell us what time. We caught our flight to Xian and were met at the airport by Cally and driver. After our personalized tour (with no shopping stops, by reque..
Our tour was a 1 day tour to see the terracotta warriors , it was very well organised and our tour guide Cally was excellent. She spoke very good English and was very informative about the chinese history. We were picked up at our hotel in the morning' after a phone call the night before to tell us what time. We caught our flight to Xian and were met at the airport by Cally and driver. After our personalized tour (with no shopping stops, by request by us) we were taken back to the airport and after our 1 and half hour flight we were met at Beijing airport by another girl and driver and taken back to our hotel. The whole day was really well organised and we had a great day. I would definately recommend this package and China tours. Ann Bradley..
Our tour was a specialised tour as we started in Beijing with pick-up from hotel, flights and tour all inclusive. The tour was well organised, we were looked after all the way from our hotel in Beijing, through the airport, met at the other end and then through the tour and all the way back. Our contacts all spoke good english and were helpful and polite. The Terra-cotta army was fabulous. The Hua Qing hot spring was OK and our guide easily agreed to not visit the optional factory (ie shopping destination) which was a relief ! The only bad parts were :- a) Doing the tour in a day is a bit of a rush - ideally you'd have longer in Xian but we didn't have the time b) It rained heavily all day, you might want to think about when you visit, we didn't c) The food at the Terra-cotta army was the worst common denominator of western and chinese cuisine combined. Didn't ruin the day, but certainly wasn't a highlight...
Our tour was a specialised tour as we started in Beijing flew to Xian yang and then on to Shanghai. We were met at Xian Yang by Jenny our tour guide who was extremely good. She gave us lots of information on the way and when we got to the Terracotta warriors she mad sure we got to see as much as possible and explained to us what we were seeing and answered any questions we had. At our request we missed out on the springs so we could have a little more time seeing the Warriors. It was a wondeful sight and we had the perfect guide.Thank you Jenny...
