My family and I did a one day Great Wall and Ming Tomb tour for $25pp. This is one of the cheapest tours you will find for this price, and I felt I got my money\'s worth. They pick you up at your hotel, provide an English speaking tour guide and the cost includes a really good lunch and ticket admission prices. So it\'s a pretty good deal. The tour bus was a little late picking us up, but the guide called to let me know. The bus was clean and the guide spoke good English and was knowledgeable. Here are the negatives:
1. I would have preferred more time at the Ming tombs or Great wall.
2. The guide asked our group if we wanted to see the great wall by Cable car or by walking on foot. She said the cable car had a small ticket fee which was not included, but we would have a better view so they group elected for the cable car. Well, the cable car fee is $13. I actually would have preferred to go see the wall by foot because I would have liked to stretch my legs more after the hour long bus ride, but the group wanted the cable car. The cable car also jipped us because the guide could not come up on the cable car so now it was a self guided tour on the top of the wall. The weather and smog in Beijing hinders most views anyway so the cable car was a waste of money in my opinion.
Overall, I would do this tour again, I would have paid more for a tour without the shop visits.
