Our tour guide and driver picked us up on time in a van. Our group size was good (6). Tour guide was very personable. Both the Great wall and summer palace were great places and the time we spent at each was good. We got to both of them at the right time to avoid other tour goups. It was still crowded, but not as crowded as it could have been. Stops at the Jade Factory, and the foot massage were very interesting. Prices are a little higher, but you are more confident that you are getting genuine items. Lunch wasn\'t bad, but don\'t expect any western food. I thought it was a very positive experience...
Tour guide and driver took us in a private sedan car to the Great Wall and Summer palace...
Supposed to be coach tour, but guide and driver took us in a private sedan car to the Jade fabric you don´t have to buy anything and it was interesting too, after that we went to the great wall it was beutiful and it was confortable to travel in this car, but we would prefer the original tour that we booked with more tourists I think it would be more fun, cause the tour guide Peter he spoke english but sometimes we didn´t undestand him he spoke quite funny. After that we went to the restaurant to eat and it was pretty good, in this place there is also a store of jade, chinese porcelan and pearls but it´s better if you don´t buy anything in this place just take a look and have fun. They took us to the Summer Palace it´s amazing all the temples you can go by a dragon boat thru the lagoon inside and you can see the enourmus temple in front of you I love the Palace and the view, I can´t denied that it was interesting to see the clamps, but no more...
Tour guide and driver took us in a private sedan car to the Jade Factory as first stop. You are not obligated to buy them but interesting to know how to differentiate a real jade and not. Touch the pink jade dragon head for good luck. We reached Badalin Wall and as per some reviews read before - it is the Great Wall of tourist!! It was packed since it was a Saturday, not sure if the same on weekday. It was windy and make sure you wear comfortable shoes to climb the wall. Summer Palace - since we arrived Beijing at the same time as the Africans Summit is being held, some of the roads and entrance are closed to public. Nice walk on the longest corridor - different painting on each beam above you. Sit by the lake and watch the sun sets - beautiful sight!..
