My wife and I thought the trip was well organised and an efficient way to see several key sites in one day. We had a driver and guide in the package. We booked our trip for February 25th. Nevertheless we were spared the pollution that is so prevalent in the Beijing region and the weather was refreshingly cold. The Great Wall was wonderful and all that it is advertised to be, extensive, great stonework, and a steep climb (the Badaling segment). Wear good walking shoes and climb carefully as the stairs can be steep and, if there is snow, treacherous. Tiananmen Square was OK but nothing to kill for. The Forbidden City, on the other hand, was. An extensive array of huge, ornate (on the interior) buildings. What surprised me most was the huge number of local tourists visiting the site. We also witnessed huge local crowds when we visited the Summer Palace the next day. It was nice to see local Chinese experience the glories of Chinese history. When visiting the Forbidden City I couldn't help but think of Bertolucci's cinematic feat, the Last Emperor. Loved the trip thanks to the excellent planning and orchestration by ChinaTour.net!..
Booked a day before my tour and was impressed by how fast they confirmed my reservation. The guide picked me up on time near my hostel and dropped me on the same spot as well. Thank you! OK where to start. If you're in Beijing with a spare day, DO THIS TOUR. You get to see the great areas, all in one day! Highlights - well seeing all three places. The knowledge of the tour guide was excellent and helped bring things to life. Personal highlight was walking on the great wall. Fantastic Lowlights - the shops. Jade... ok seen it. Next. Dr Tea. Ditto. Don't be annoyed at me if I don't purchase though - that's my prerogative. I tipped direct to the guide instead as her and the driver did a great job So, go for it. You've travelled all the way to Beijing... maximise your time there! @ChinaTour - charge a little more for your tour and pass this onto the guides and drivers, instead of them needing to rush to visit Doctor Tea. The punters will prefer this :)..
We really enjoyed our 1 Day tour! It was everything we needed and wanted to do while visiting Beijing for only 72 hours. Our Tour Guide was well spoken and even went out of her way to make sure we saw everything possible, even a Kung-Fu show that still resonates with me today. Everything this package said it would be, it was!! The Lunch was superb and the Great Wall was magnificent.. I would recommend this tour to anyone headed to Beijing...
It was really a fantastic tour and worth the money. We had additional stops; Jade factory and tea tasting which was unexpected but it was a great experience. Was in Beijing for a business trip and due to the language barrier, it was hard to move around so the pick up from hotel was so hassle free. Our tour guide Edward was so full of stories and it made our journey interesting. Our group consists of 5 people and they we a great bunch. Truly turned out to be a perfect day and it well planned out. Tiring with the walking but hey worth every step...
We went for the 1 day tour to Forbidden city, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. The tour guide was enthusiastic only in the beginning. However as we went through the Forbidden city and later to the Great wall, she has nothing much to say...

It was the best tour ever! We were picked up in an air conditioned car with an excellent tour guide named Cindy (Xin). Picked up & dropped off right on time. Cindy was extremely nice, sweet, and informative. She provided detailed information on each site we visited. Didn't rush us at all. She actually encouraged us to see and learn more. My frinds told me it's not possible to see all three sites (Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, and The Forbidden City) in one day! But not only we got to see all three, Cindy took us to two additional places - The Jade Factory and The Silk Factory. We had a great time, learned so much about China, took great pictures, and didn't have to worry about getting from one place to another. I highly recommend this tour to all...
superb one day tour, Kathy our tour guide provided a wealth of information and knowledge, with her fluent English and historical information regarding the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden city we were provided with an insight into the structures, cultures and customs of that time. Further more the prompt arrival of meeting us at the hotel with the designated time and the careful safe driving of the driver left an impression of complete professionalism and a excellent tour. If in China again i would not hesitate to book tours through ChinaTour.net again. A+++ completely reccomend...
GREAT TOUR... I was a little sceptical booking... I mean, Chinatour.net was right at the top of the sponsored adds... But it was absolutely great. The Guide was terrific, very service minded and knowledgable. The Great wall truely WAS great, especially the Yujong part she took me to (the less crowded one). I climbed it all the way to the top (when you reach the big Toilet building, just ONE more set of stairs...) DON'T give up, it's WORTH it !!!!..
The tour, as well as our guide Kathy were great yet again. My parents enjoyed the tour just as much as my in-laws did back in March. They even got a smaller bus to make it easier to hear this time as we went between destinations. My only complaint - and it's actually a big one - is the driver. HE IS A MANIAC! While the Chinese in general are pretty poor drivers, the driver(s) hired for these tours is beyond ridiculous. Driving 80mph, weaving in and out of traffic on the freeway, while no one else on the road is driving like this, is beyond ridiculous. I even asked our tour guide to tell him to slow down, which he ignored. This should definitely be addressed before he ends up killing a group of tourists...
I purchased the shuttle service to and from the train station. The driver was on-time and did a good job. Ellen was our tour guide. She was very knowledgable. I had a great time on the tour. I can't recommend Chinatour and Ellen enough. Coming back from the Great Wall (go! it is amazing) we got stuck in traffic. Ellen got me off the bus and took me to the subway and stayed with me the whole time to the station by my hotel. She then walked with me outside the station and made sure I could get back to the hotel. It was a great tour! Great Wall and Forbidden City are not to be missed...

I did the 2 day tour. Day one as the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall. Day two was Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City than the Temple of Heaven and last was the summer palace. The first day was great the guide was very good. Only issue was I was the only one who actually walked the entire way up the wall and I wasn't sure which way to go since there is two ways to go so I guessed. The second day was pretty similar. The tour guide was great and I had a flight to catch that night. The guide made sure I got to the best metro station possible to catch the train right to the airport. Made my flight with no problem. Overall great tour, wish we didn't have to go to the shops like the pearl factory or the silk factory but I think that is done because the tour price is so low...
Great tour. I can't get over how much was included in the package for such a low price. Guide was extremely knowledgeable, and overall made for a fun day. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see a considerable portion of Beijing in one day...
This tour is amazing. Service that you get during this tour is outstanding! Will was our tour guide and he was excellent. His English was very good and his English accent flawless. Today's tour with David was excellent. It was a cold and windy day but the small group allowed us some flexibility. Pick up and drop off were in time, the van was very comfortable with a cheerful and competent driver. David's explanations were complete and in good time. It was a busy day but we saw all three sites. Very enjoyable. I f you only have a day and want to see these sites, I recommend his tour...
