The Ming Tombs were extremely disappointing. As all artefacts had been removed there were just empty red metal boxes. Very bleak. A waste of time. The Great wall was fantastic, everything we expected and more. Once again the obligatory factory visits spoilt the day. THESE SHOULD BE OPTIONAL. The guide was quite abrupt and of very little help when we needed assistance at the end of the tour in order to get to Beijing Airport. The driver was a lunatic.
