Well worth of trip to Great Wall! The tour guy was at the hotel lobby as promised, 7am, paid my fee with cash in RMBs. We picked four others tourists in another hotel and we were on our way to the wall! (If someone decides to go to the wall in last minute, please allow 24 hrs to get confirmation. In my case it took 20hrs ) The Web side should list a phone number to call if someone wants do take the trip on short notice...
Our Guide Chris was excellent. He took us to the top of Wall and took some pictures of us. When visiting the tombs he did the same. Very nice guide. Thank you very much Chris for all the history chat, very informative...
Thank you for the tour. Very informative abs Chris our guide is very knowledgeable. I don't remember we visited Olympic stadiums though. I think the Dingling tomb tour is rather meaningless as there is no picture of the interior of the tomb of Zhu Di. I think it'll be more meaningful if we can get a glimpse of what's inside the tomb, the sacrificial objects and the picture of the tomb rather than just the exterior. Overall I must say is really fun trip. The highlight is the great wall and the tobaggan is really fun!! As the group was also very small, it gave a great platform to make friends and we even went out for hotpot together after the tour ended!..
The bus picked us up on time and was comfortable enough. Our guide Chris was very informative and although it was incredibly hot, we had a great day. The main reason for our tour was the Great Wall but we really enjoyed the Jade Factory as well. Lunch was provided after we went up the wall and was delicious. Definitely worth it :)..
This was our first booking through chinatour.net and it was made from the B & H before the trip and we did not know what was going to be, depending only on reviews from other users and it was absolutly marvelous! Our guide was called a day before the trip and arranged everything for tommorow tour, they were very accurate and fast, so we managed to go all the way out and more. We went to the Olympic stadium, a jade factory, a Mutianyu Great Wall, a Ming tomb, a tea house and lunch at the restaurant. All the information we received from our guide was very useful to us, this tour was very interesting and well executed! Since we were very satisfied, we recommended you to our friends who also took the same tour last Sunday!..

I completely recommend this tour. The guide called me one night before the tour in order to tell me at what time they will pick me up, which they did very punctual. All the places that where visited were amazing. The service was very good and the tour guide Anley spoke very well english and knew about all the historical places that we visited. The lunch very good also and The bus very confortable. This tour is a must see for all the travelers looking to enjoy and spend an incredible time in China...
I signed up for my boyfriend and I to take part in a group tour, but due to some lack of communication, we had to change to a private tour the morning of the excursion. I have mixed feelings about this; having to change tours was inconvenient and costly, but the tour we received was good. I will explain the good and bad points below. Good: After the group tour left without us and I was finally able to make contact with someone by phone (see bad points for more on that), they did everything they could to quickly arrange a private tour for the same day since it was the only day we could do so. The tour guide Michael was friendly and accommodating. We got off to a late start due to the last minute change, but he and the driver went to great efforts to make sure we could still do as much as possible despite having to cut some things. We did not have time for lunch and only drove by the Olympic Stadiums, but in exchange they took us to a brief tea ceremony and then drove us to where we would have dinner. Dinner was not included in the tour, but they still waited for us to have our meal and then took us back to our place of lodging. For the private tour itself, I would give 5 stars! Bad: The reason I am not giving full stars is because of the communication problems that led to us having to spend more for a private tour. We were using AirBnb, so there was no hotel number we could give in advance. I would be getting a Chinese SIM card during our visit, so I was told to call the night before to give my number and discuss a meet up location. Once we arrived and got the SIM card, I tried calling the number provided several times, but could not get anyone on the line. I then sent an email giving my number, alternate email address, and WeChat info. Luckily it went through and I was told the tour guide would call. I waited but did not get a call (and no missed calls showed on my phone), so I went to bed expecting to be contacted in the morning. I had still not been contacted in the morning, but when I looked at my phone, it suddenly showed two missed calls that had not been displayed the night before. I called the number and it was the tour guide, who said he had tried calling "many times" and that the group was already on the way to the Tombs and Great Wall. This is why I was annoyed: I realize it is nobody's fault that my phone did not get the calls or display them until it was too late, but trying twice without attempting to use either of the other contact methods I provided does not seem like "many times" to me. It can't be helped that I did not get the call, but that is why I gave other info as well. I did not get any email or message saying that they had tried to contact me, nor did they try at all the morning of the tour. It wasn't until I finally reached the tour guide and they had someone from the office call me to arrange a private tour that communication started going smoothly...
The trip was great, many expiriences and good schedual. Th driver was very nice, and gave excellent service...
The tour we booked for the mutianyu portion of the great wall was amazing. I'm glad I chose Chinatour.net for my booking. Our tour guide Kathy was insightful and her English was excellent. I had been on previous tours before to badaling great wall but this was my favourite tour by far. Mutianyu is a better option to visit because of its scenery and it wasnt as crowed as the badaling wall. Overall I was very happy with both the tour, our guide and the efficiency and ease booking the the tour itself. I highly recommend booking Chinatour.net for any tours you may be interested in...
Wonderful tour and fantastic tour guide! We took a private China Tour and it was even better than I hoped. We had a great trip to the Great Wall, delicious lunch at the Jade factory, tour of the Ming tombs & stop to see the Olympic stadiums. Our guide Maggie spoke flawless English and was very informative, giving background and insight everywhere we went. The price was fantastic, and they organised show tickets for us to see the Legend of Kung Fu at the end of the day. Couldn't have been happier. Next time I visit China I will be booking everything through ChinaTour.Net..
This is the 2nd trip to the Great Wall I've booked through Chinatour.net and I am just as impressed this time as I was when I visited the Badaling portion in July 2014. The Mutianyu section is in my opinion a more beautiful scenic area - this is what I expected when visiting the Great Wall. It also helped that the weather was cooler and summer holidays were over - we arrived to the wall early in the morning and there were very few (10) people along the whole section. This section is also much more strenuous than Badaling - but worth it. The views are fabulous! This was also my 2nd visit to the Ming Tombs - this time to Dingling which is the only excavated tomb in the Ming tombs. The tombs are very simplistic when compared to others around the world; however, they are imposing. This trip also included the Jade Factory and a tea ceremony (my favorite!) - neither of these are "hard sellers". The Jade tour is interesting and their sales room is amazing! The tea ceremony was in a different tea house this time but just as fascinating! There were 2 other people in my tour - which made for a level of comfort and fun throughout the tour - that was only enhanced by our wonderful guide Kathy - who spoke excellent English - although I think she spoke it faster than me! I would not hesitate to use Chinatour.net again in the future!..

Mutianyu Great Wall tour. We went on this tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs on May 29. Our guide and driver did everything they promised and picked us up early in the morning at our hotel. We where six in our group, so we all had possibility to ask questions and get answer. On this tour, our guide was fantastic, and we had a great day. We booked the Mutianyu tour because we wanted to visit the Great Wall without crowds tourists. Food in a restaurant at Mutianyu when visisting the Wall was very good. We also went to Ming Tombs and a jade and silk factory followed by a quick stop at The Olympic Park with the Birdnest. We would definitely recommend this tour...
First of all I must say, that our guide Will was amazing! He was very passionate about chinese culture, and showing it of in the best way. And also, he was great in handling difficult passengers. However I was a bit disappointed about the trip itself. Due to other trip-members being late in the morning, our \"visit\" to the Olympic Stadium turned out to be just seen from the car in passing. I feel that if the trip runs so late, that planned-AND paid for-activities are running short on time...
it was our first time in the mainland...our guide, emmette, is wonderful with a keen sense of humor...great tour!..
