This 2-day itinerary covers the highlight of Guilin, Li River and Longji Terraced Field.
Lunch
Meet your tour guide at hotel lobby at the appointed time in the morning(usually around 8:00 am). It takes about 1 hour to drive to Li River pier (Mopanshan pier) from downtown. The boarding time is scheduled at 9:30 am, and the whole journey takes about 4~5 hours. Embark and enjoy your Li River cruise to Yangshuo.
Li River is the highlight of Guilin tour, and whoever come to this city will be impressed by its natural beauty. The 54-kilometer waterway on the twisty Li River from Zhujiang to Yangshuo covers hundreds and thousands of grotesque peaks. The landscape is decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and is lined with bamboo. The water reflect the mountain and the sky, forming a picturesque scenery.
A Chinese lunch box is offered on board by the cruise company.
Disembark at Yangshuo (Longtoushan pier) in the afternoon (1:30-2:00pm). Yangshuo, an ancient town with a history of over 1400 years, is the most beautiful town along the Li River. At the village of Gaotian to the south of Yangshuo, the fascinating pastoral scenery comes in sight. Yangshuo West Street is a place where you will find a lot of unique shops selling traditional handcrafts, hand-made scarfs, snacks of local flavor etc.There are some optional activities available, such as cycling, bamboo rafting, watch an impression show and etc. Have a short exploration of the old town before being transferred back to your hotel in Guilin .

Pick you up from your hotel at about 8:30, and arrive at Longji Terraced Field at about 11:00.
Located in Longsheng County, Longji Terraced Field is famous for the beauty of rice field and the colorful ethnic cultures and customs. Longji Terraces were first built in the Yuan Dynasty (about 800 years ago) and completed in the Qing Dynasty. The area is home to two different Chinese ethnic minorities, the Zhuang and the Yao people. These people have been cultivating rice in the Longsheng mountains for centuries. The terraced fields with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop. You will have access to a maze of hiking trails through the rice terraces full of incredible overlooks and views.
For private tour, you will visit one of the three parts of Longji Terrace, Ping'an Terrace, Jinkeng Dazhai Terrace or Guzhuang Terrace.
For group tour, you will visit Jinkeng Dazhai Terrace.
Fun fact is that the women here have some of the longest hair in the world! It’s a tradition that girls cut their hair only once in their life when they turn 18. Most of the local women you’ll meet at the rice terraces have hair that’s over 1 meter long! You may have a chance to see the local Huangluo Yao Minority Women's Long Hair Show before being transferred back to your hotel in Guilin.
