We have just returned from 3-day (2 night) Lhasa Tour organized by ChinaTour.Net. The tour was very interesting, informative and very well organized. We met the guide at Chongqing airport who gave us the Tibet permit and helped us to check in to the flight to Lhasa - the guide was very organized, punctual and helpful. When we arrived at Lhasa airport, we were greeted by another guide who helped us to carry the luggage to the vehicle and accompanied us to the hotel in the center of Lhasa. The booked hotel (Yak Hotel, 3 stars) was located perfectly (within short walking distance from Jokhang Temple), however, was not very comfortable (rather small and very dark room and scanty breakfast). However, everything else was just perfect: the tour organization, the program, the guide and the included A La Carte dinners at Lhasa Kitchen restaurant. Lhasa is the city which is definitely worth visiting and probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world: tremendous views of snow-covered giant mountains from everywhere, astonishing historical monuments - particularly, The Potala Palace, unique atmosphere and sterile cleanliness. I felt very sad about leaving Tibet and dream of returning here for a longer journey (e.g. for the Mount Kailash Kora)...
I took a 3 day tour with China Tour to visit Lhasa. The set up and planning was great, and suitable for my short visit. The tour and the fee that I had paid included: permit to Tibet, accommodation in a 3 star hotel, pick up from and drop off at the airport, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and visits of the main palace and temple in Lhasa. I also had free time to go around and visit more on my own. The office staff in charge of organizing the tour was very supportive and helpful. The tour guide was very friendly with good knowledge about the area and the places that we visit, and also very good in English. The tour also arranged the internal flights to and from Lhasa for me. This was optional, but since they managed to find a better fair, I used this service. Highly recommendation this company and Tibet travel...
I travelled to Lhasa on 6 february 2012. I was met at the airport by Tinzinc. He spoke great English and was very keen to help. The restauarants that we visited during our trip were great as was the food. The sights that we visited were very interesting and we were able to take great photos. The hotel we stayed in was comfortable 4 star, however it was freezing. In all, the flights and tour and tibetan permit were booked by chinatour.net on our behalf and were well provided. It was a great experience. Many thanks to chinatour.net...
