Our hotel was very nice. The problem was the tour guide and the fact that it was a national holiday. When we booked the tour we were not told that many of the tourist attractions would be crowded for the national holidays. Our guide was mediocre and the crowds were horrendous. Do NOT ever travel during the national holidays in China. Also I feel that our guide made no effort to find us alternative selections for the times that should have been spent in the palaces that were closed...

Having taken the risk and booked over the internet with China.net tours we were delighted with our experience in Beijing. Our driver, Chong, and tour guide, Lina, were excellent. As we are older, they understood our needs and worked around our inability to walk for long periods of time. The communication with the company was also excellent with quick responses to our questions. The only negative was our last lunch which could have been at a better venue. Otherwise, we highly recommend this company...

Our tour guide was Davis. He was very friendly and was always smiling. He was always punctual and willing to work around the itinerary to go to places we were interested in checking out for a few minutes. During the outings he would buy us water so we would cool down during the hot days. He was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited, and tried hard to make sure we knew everything before we left. His English was sometimes not the easiest to understand, but he tried very hard to try and communicate with you, and if you put two and two together you would be able to -understand what he meant. All-in-all the tour was great and the private driver and tour guide we had to ourselves was very nice. Will definitely recommend this tour and of course DAVIS!..

Our tour guide was Davis. He was always punctual and smiling, even on the very long hot days. He was a very nice and helpful tour guide that went out of his way to make us happy. He would sometimes go off the itinerary so that we could visit other places that we wanted to visit. He would offer to buy us water so we stayed cool during the day. He knew the history of China like the back of his hand. His English was good for the most part, but sometimes hard to understand. The driver was also very nice. It was great having a private tour!!!..

The sites we were taken to were amazing, but our guide, Daisy, was not very talkative. While she gave us basic information. Though I would like to go to China again, it will be a long while before I do so, and I will not be taking a private tour, I will try group tour next time...

We had a fabulous time in Beijing on a 4 day guided tour. My wife and I were met at Beijing South and escorted to our hotel, The Capital. The hotel was good and really close to Tianamen Square. The following days were full and packed with total delights. In addition to being driven to and expertly informed on all the sites visited by Julia our very charming guide, we enjoyed one to one very detailed information at each site of interest. This is an extremely good way to see what Beijing has to offer and the information provided by Julia enhanced our experience. I will not go into detail on all of the sites as I'm sure travellers will want to enjoy their own aspect of what they see. Suffice to say that we travelled away from Beijing totally satisfied with all aspects of our tour. With regard to value for money, this must be our best trip to date from many taken in most major tour destination around the world. To any aspiring Beijing visitors - this is the way to go. To China.Tour.net, thanks for a great experience - keep up the good work..

The tour was excellently organizes and both my wife and myself enjoyed it. The tour guide Shirley was particularly good and extremely helpful. We had nothing to worry about after our arrival at Beijing till we left Beijing. Hotel accommodation was very good and the morning breakfast was of high quality. Room was very neat, clean and room service was excellent. We got a glimpse of the ancient culture of China. We were able to buy very good silk, pearl and jade thanks to the excellent show room (museum) to which our tour guide took us. We will remember this trip with great satisfaction!..

Great price for the tour. Loved that it included meals. Tour guide was great and spoke English very well. We were given time to explore on our own which was nice. I just wish that the explanation of the tip charges was clearer. There is a fixed tip rate and EACH person in the group must pay per day. Only other thing is that I felt rushed sometimes as the tour guide would continue walking for meters ahead and we would lose her from falling behind because we stopped to take pictures. The restaurants that they took us to were very good. Also, we saw one of the sites on an earlier day than was scheduled and so we had the last day off. I requested to see some other things that day, but the tour guide told us that they were unavailable in the morning because they had to pick up another tour group. If we still had an entire day to tour, why would they arrange a pickup during OUR tour time? I just did not understand but I guess it worked out for the better since we did not have to tip the driver and guide for the last day. Great Wall is a MUST! The tour guide had our best interests at heart since she knew that the Badaling section would be overcrowded so she took us to another section where we could enjoy it better and take our time which was very thoughtful. Kung Fu show was amazing too! Would I use this company again? Maybe.....

We did the private tour and must say that we are very satisfied. Our tour guide Penny Peng did an excellent job, she very knowledgeable and dedicated. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who will be visiting Beijing, if you want a worry free and fully arranged tour. If you decide to stay at the Howard Johnson, make sure you get a room facing the atrium.( less street noise)..

The tour was professional and great value for money. The only things to be aware of were: - there are some sidetrips which may or not be of interest to attendees (Jade and Silk Shops) and which cost about 30 min stops each time. Allegedly the guide has no control over these government \"advised-_br_\" tourist stops...

The tour was great. Our tour guide Cynthia was well qualified and english speaking and very charming. The sigtseeing was fantastic thanks to the professional driver we had. The weather was in our favour, all sunny days. The Great wall is a must for a tourist, must go back someday. The forbidden City, the Summer Palace and Temple of Heavan and its history was very interesting The Hutong tour was on my request and was great. We formed a good impression of China and Beijing. Chinese people were very nice and proud of their city, everything was so well looked after. Will definetly go back...

Allegedly the guide has no control over these government "advised-_br_" tourist stops. - the foot massage sidetrip: you can pay for this (RMB20, about $3) which is probably OK if you want it. - Be aware that..

Hallo. This is to show my apreciation for your organisation for the tour and the lovely tour guide Penny Wen.Firstly verything went according to plan.Penny is a very lovingly and caring person. She went out of her way to accommodate us.She has a very good knowledge of the history of China. It will be an asset to any company to employ her.Although our tour ended Friday she came to us on Sunday evening to accompany us to the airport. She even took us to the underground train station for a ride whilst on our way to the airport. Give our best wishes to her. We have a very good impressin of China and its people.Today we heard of the earthquake disaster and the many dead .We feel for you. Best of luck for the future and God speed. Giedeon and Aletta van Zyl..

My husband and I had a great stay in Beijing! The hotel was nice and our tour guide Maggy was brilliant. I will strongly recommend anyone to China Tours as the tour manager, Tony, looked after us and made sure our requested tour was taken full care of. Our comms was only via email, yet, he organised a perfect personalised tour. Our guide, Maggy, was very accommodating to our special requests - she did her best to keep us happy. The only change i would suggest would be for private tours only - for lunches, especially, please try to organise more authentic places for a feed rather than the "regular" tour stop-overs. everything seemed rushed, the dishes were very average and not authentic chinese meal. I think this is why we have a "private" tour - i don't think we mind paying a little extra as long as the food and restaurant service is great. The chinese peking duck banquet was great!!! Thank you for such a wonderful tour: we have 4 families in the queue who will be using your services over the next 2 years!! Thanks Tony, Thanks Maggy. Regards, Nileshni and Sumeet..

I had a great stay! The hotel was nice and my tour guide Maggie showed me everything and told me all I needed to know about the traditions in China. She also helped me with translations to find out more about the local people. Thanks a lot for the great time!!..

Booking a private guide was a fantastic idea, and for that price it was more than worth it! Our guide Sophia was sweet, knowledgful, spoke a very good english and made the tour so much more interesting. Having a driver to ourselves allowed us to do so much more! It was a stress free, no worries experience. We were not rushed and even had time for some extras. We booked the 5 star hotel - Beijing international hotel - and that was very ordinary. However, the morning buffet was good and had lot's to choose from...

We had a very nice tour. Everything went as planned and our tour guide Rita and car driver were also good. I'll advise all my friends to use chinatour.net...

Allegedly the guide has no control over these government \"advised\" tourist stops. - the foot massage sidetrip: you can pay for this (RMB20, about $3) which is probably OK if you want it. - Be aware that the Badaling Great wall trip is not the most scenic of the various locations accessible from Beijing but it is the closest. most accessible and quickest to get to. If the above provisos are acceptable (and some did like the shopping sideshows after the trip) then a great tour...
