While the purchase and checkout process was smooth, I realised when I got to the station that the ticket attendants had no idea how to process my ticket. The confirmation number given in the e-ticket does not work on the Chinese machines. There are no instructions on how to input a passport, not a chinese ID card.
I had to go to the ticket window to collect paper ticket, with the confirmaiton code which begin with E, and the passports in order to collect the paper tickets.
