I used chinatours services to book train tickets for 3 trips in July/August 2018. Everything went well except when we had to change the tickets of one trip due to non availability of train for the previous trip. I had to reschedule the trip, which is ok and not the fault of chinatours, and I found a solution implying to cancel one trip and replace it with another. I consulted Chinatours before and they assured me that the cancelled ticket would be refunded. But this has never been the case, Chinatour cancelled the ticket and kept the money without refunding me.
Despite several Emails, they never came back to me, they just ignore my emails.
More over I discovered later that Chinatours debited amounts that were significantly superiour to the ones that were initially agrred during the order (+/- 10%), and I'm not talking about their commission (which is fine), but an additional undue amount.
Last thing, I ordered a SIM card on the website "http://simcardchina.com/", and I eventually discovered later that this service also belongs to chinatours (the payment was made to their account). They debited the amount of the sim card but they never delivered it to my hotel, despite their commitment. I had to buy another one in china. there again, no ways of getting any help from them.
This is really disappointing and a bad experience. I would strongly advise anyone needing services in China not tu use chinatours, there is plenty other ones available on the market.
