Straight-forward booking process. Despite not getting to choose my seat I was assigned good ones.
Directions for retrieving my ticket were useful but in large train stations there could be more instructions given. For example, in Beijing I was dropped off my taxi on the second floor. I asked someone for help and was told to go to the first floor. I did, but from there I had no idea where to go. There were plenty of entrances but none of them seemed to be for me. I kept asking people for help and showing them the "please print my ticket" sign, and eventually found my way to an information desk with an English-speaking employee and from there it was totally fine.
