Review of Train Ticket by George

Train Ticket

I am not very happy at all. I had booked a return ticket from Beijing to Chengde about 2.5 weeks ago. On the day, I went to pick up my ticket locally in an hour off work from a local ticket office. For whatever reason, the lady couldn't access the details. I went back and looked on line and found all these warnings about your passport and ticket details having to be the same. At the time of booking, it was stressed that making sure your passport number was inputted accurately was important. I did that. Only after booking and paying does it mention about name in passport having to be exactly the same. Myself and Chinese work colleagues tried to call you to get advice several times. Nobody ever answered. Eventually, I found a moment in a busy day to write, asking you to change the ticket. You responded saying this would cost 40 RMB and that you would have to cancel and refund the initial booking and issue another ticket. I replied saying yes, please do. I heard nothing more. I sat in my office until 9.45pm before leaving for the station, not knowing whether I had a ticket to travel. On arrival at Beijing station, they found the return journey from Chengde to Beijjng with no problem at all. But told me that you had cancelled the outward journey, and nothing else had been booked. So, I had to spend an uncomfortable night on a cheap hard seat. What's worse is that I can see no evidence that you have even refunded the booking you cancelled. Please could you do this with urgency? The return journey back was better and I am glad I didn't cancel that at least.
