Tour Itinerary

Day 1  Arriving Beijing

Pick you up from the airport or train station, and then transfer you to your hotel. Our driver will hold a sign with your name on it. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2  Pick up from hotel, then visit Badaling Great Wall and Changling Tomb.(lunch)

Pick you up from hotel at departure time, then drive to the famous Badaling Great Wall, which takes about 1.5 hours to get there. Go hiking on the Badaling Great Wall for 2-3 hours. Cable car optional.

Since the Great Wall has become a national icon of China, whoever come to China would visit it. It is one of the greatest man-made wonders over the world. It was built as an ancient military defense project which was actually worked in the history. Scenic spots: Badaling fortress, beacon-towers, "looking-toward beijing stone", etc.

Drive (30 minutes) to Friendship restaurant nearby the Ming Tombs and having typical Chinese lunch (50 minutes).

Driving (20minutes) to the Ming Tombs, the best preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history, and visiting Changling, the largest one, Emperor Yongle's Tomb (about 1 hours). Changling Tomb is the tomb of Emperor Zhudi, known as Yongle (1360-1420), and his empress Xushi. Yongle was the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Construction of his tomb began in 1409 and was completed in 1427. Changling Tomb, built the earliest among the 13 Ming Mausoleums, is the largest and most magnificent as well as the best-preserved one.
Scenic spots: Ling'en Gate, Ling'en Palace,Soul Tower, The great red gate, the stele pavilion, etc.

After the tour, we will drive you back to your hotel.

Day 3 Visit the Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. (lunch)

Pick you up from hotel on departure time, and then drive to the Forbidden City, the largest ancient imperial palaces group in the world with 500 years history . Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for about 1.5-2 hours. The Forbidden City was built 600 years ago and it was the imperial palace of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty from Emperor Yongle.
Scenic spots: 1. The hall and the courtyard of supreme harmony, 2. The meridian gate, 3. the hall of supreme harmony, 4. the hall of complete harmony, 5. the hall of preserving harmony, 6. the huge of stone carving, 7. the hall of union, 8. the palace of earthly tranquility, 9. the imperial garden, etc.

Then drive (30 minutes) to the Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world. Visit it for about 0.5-1 hour. Temple of Heaven is a complex of religious buildings where the emperors came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest. Built about 600 years ago, it is the most holy imperial temple in Beijing.
scenic spots: 1. the hall of prayer for good harvest, 2. red stairway bridge, 3. the imperial vault of heaven, 4. echo wall, 5. triple sound stone, 6. the circular mound altar, etc.

Have Chinese lunch (40 minutes) in Taiyichun Restaurant.

Drive (30 minutes) to Summer Palace, the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden. It is a blend of natural scenery and artificial landscape. The mountains, waters and architecture together form picturesque scenes that are amazingly beautiful. UNESCO declared the Summer Palace “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design".
Scenic spots: East palace gate, the hall of benevolence and longevity, hall of jade billows, the hall of joyful longevity, the covered walkway, the marble boat, etc. Visit it for about 1-1.5 hours.

After the tour, we will drive you back to your hotel.

Note: Passport is required when tourists visit Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square. Make sure that you take your passport with you. Forbidden City is not available on every Monday.

Day 4

Pick you up from your hotel, and then transfer you to the airport or the train station. See off.
