The deepest train station in the world

 

The Badaling Great Wall Station is 102 meters deep and is the deepest high-speed railway station in the world. Due to its deep underground, the long escalators entering and leaving the station have become the biggest highlight of the station, giving people the feeling of entering the "underground city". After entering the station, you need to take the escalator 3 times to reach the platform. After entering the station from the ground for the first time, it will drop 9 meters to the waiting hall. After the second time, you need to check the ticket from the waiting hall and then descend 40 meters straight to the platform passage floor. Straight down 13 meters from the aisle level and finally arrive at the platform and ride.

  • Because the high-speed train from Beijing to Badaling is a popular route, if you want to experience this fast train, you'd better book train ticket at least 15 days in advance, tickets sold out quickly.
  • Beijing Qinghe station is also the subway No.13 station, Beijing North station is also the subway No.13 and No.2 station. Tourists can easily get there by subway or taxi.
