Booked 6 nights with Beijing International Hotel. Below is my review: 1) Old room conditions, bath tub surface dirty and couldn't be clean. 2) In my booking, requested for double bed but was told no more double bed and left with twin bed. They asked to call back second day morning 9 am. I called back and was told the double bed room was fully book for two nights and asked to call back on the forth day. Went to the front desk on forth day and was told that not much double room left. I asked him not much room left means there's still available room at the moment. Why can't locate to customer which stayed 6 days with the hotel? He refused to reply any and i have to stay in a twin bed for all 6 nights! As the room was prepaid with my credit card, so i have no choice to bear with it. Else i will just switch over to Crowne Plaza as i the price are the same and i can earn points as SPG member. 3) Location- not convenient for shopping and far from subway station. 4) Room service - the staffs forgot to put new towels, hand towels, face towels, and foot towel for few days and we need to call to housekeeping for them to bring up. And when they bring up they show black face. 5) Poor WiFi internet connection. Have to pay RMB 2/minutes if use cable. 6) On second night, I use the feedback form in the drawer and wrote my feedback and pass to front desk. No action taken to improve the service. Obviously the GM don't think customer feedback is important. And i gave another feedback form on the last day before i leave the hotel. 7) Have problem waiting for taxi as the staffs is not doing anything to get cab for the guest. There's a Q outside the hotel lobby, however people is not following the Q and all board the taxi without waiting. I am surprised to hear the staffs said this to his colleague :" Just leave them as it's, not our job to make sure they follow the Q". I think they are only interested in getting tips by helping arriving guest on their luggage. 8) There's direct airport shuttle bus from Beijing International Airport to Beijing International Hotel. But the bus stop 1 km from the hotel. 9) Few man standing at the hotel lobby or outside hotel lobby offering taxi service with ridiculous high price. Don't take it. 7 km charged RMB 200. Above are some of the important points which i hope can help you in making the right decision to have a wonderful stay in Beijing. Don't go for Beijing International Hotel ............
I liked the Beijing International Hotel very much. It was in a great location and you could reach attractions, train station, shopping and subway either by bus or just taking a short walk. The subway access was 1 block and the train station 2 blocks. I would stay again. The food at the breakfast buffet could have been added to on the western food side but hey, we are in China, right!? The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. I only wish they had wireless in all the rooms and did not charge for the access to internet in the rooms...

Overall, the hardware is good. But I would not advise this hotel to business travelers as they are highly inflexible in customer service. I checked in on business trip but they did not accept company credit card for deposits because the card is under a name different from the guest. Highly rigid in mentality and do not see any need to tailor to customers' needs. The manager did not seem to care if he was offending the customers to the point that there will be no repeat business. Perhaps the location is convenient to get to most places, but do not expect to have something that is "out of the box". Room temperature is too hot and cannot be changed manually. Couldn't sleep well because the temperate was too high...

I strong recommend the hotel. Room is clean, comfortable and has comfortable non-smoking floors. With a gold location and convenient transportation link near to Railway station, to Jianguomen subway station, to the mall with excellent restaurant, fast foods, and several kinds of stores. About 15 minutes walk to silk city; 45 minutes walk to Forbidden City, and others special locations as Silk Street you can stay in the Hotel several days. The only thing I didn’t like was de noise due to the construction next to the hotel...
Clean, well appointed hotel with good facilities. A little on the "big" side so not as personal as a smaller one. Charges for ancillaries (eg. laundry, internet, restaurants, minibar etc..) a little on high side. Room was clean and comfortable - our first room had a problem with the bathroom and we were quickly and efficiently given another room. Non smoking floors a big plus. Good location - short walk from Beijing Railway Station and metro stations. Not quite easy walking distance to Tianamen Sq (approx 45 min walk)...
I can recomend this hotel, I would go back again. There was only one thing missing, the swimming pool. Good clean rooms, good service and good organization...
