There are NO NON-Smoking rooms in the hotel. I was told about it by the staff when trying to complain about the cigarette smell in my room. What disappointed me even more this time that staff knowing that i asked for non-smoking room gave me room right in front of a heavy smoker room who was always opening doors and all the cigarette smoke was in my room. IT WAS TERRIBLE!!!..

Enjoyed every day of stay. Very helpful staff. But be aware of taxi drivers hotel calls for you!!! Cheated me on the way to HongQiao airport. When i started calling police, he just took my bags and put them in the middle of the road and left. So never ask hotel staff get youna taxi, just get one yourself...

This is my first visit to Shanghai. the location of charms Hotel is good, very closed to Nanjing Rd and other shopping centre. We checked into room nbr 219 for 25-26 April, and checked in again at room 333 on 28 April-5 May 2010, room is clean and newly renovated room. We were happy with the room and people at the hotel. The breakfast and the restaurant where we have breakfast need to be paid more attention. Food are tasteless, tables unorganised, floor is sticky and blurry. If the hotel can improve the quality of breakfast and restaurant, I will say the hotel is perfect. Good Luck for Charms Hotel...

This is my second visit to Shanghai with my wife to visit our daughter who is on her School Intership attached in Pudong. Charms Hotel was recommended by my friends. We checked into room nbr 333 on 10 Aug 2007 and was delighted to see such a clean and newly renovated room. The hotel located near the pedestrian mall on Nanking Road with many restaurants and shopping mall. It is also near Nanking East MRT & People's Square MRT. The reservation staffs were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great with international memu. We checked out on 14 Aug 2007 with great satifaction. Looking forward to go back to the same hotel in the near future...

I visited Shanghai for the first time with a girlfriend. We were there primarily for shopping. As such, this hotel was located a few hundred feet off of the pedestrian mall on Nanjing Road. The location is excellent in that regard. The hotel is a 3 star Chinese run place. It was clean and made a good impression. The bathroom is rather small with a shower stall to match. It was so small that it made taking a shower a little challenging, but we made due. The deal killer was the bed, though. It was as hard as a rock and my friend said she felt like she had bruises in the morning. I would have stayed, but my friend preferred something more comfy so we moved to the Ramada Plaza, a few hundred feet away (for double the money). The buffet was OK too. All in all, it represents a fair value for the money...
