The facilities were clean and the accomodation was what i picture it to be. The problem lies with the staff especially the reception desk who handled our check in during our arrival. She barely speaks English and since our reservation cannot be trace in their database, it took several hours before we can check in. We booked several months prior to our intended flight and the hotel through the website confirmed our reservation. The hotel gave our room reservation which left us without a room. After several hours of gesturing and some help from guests who understand some English we were able to check in with 2 rooms instead of a 3 bedroom apartment. We were able to transfer 2 days after to original reservation of 3 bedroom apartment. My suggestion is put someone in the reception who can speak English. With the Beijing Olympics coming up, i cannot fathom the problems to be encountered by tourist pouring in to China to check out the sites and sounds. I like the hotel, the location is good, the kitchen facility is sufficient and the staffs are attentive. My only complain is the bathroom is too old and small...
I stayed in a 3 bedroom apt, location was pretty gd, rooms were spacious, and clean. Front desk was courteous and helpful. Only complaint was of the shower heater in my bathroom which seemed to alternate between hot and cold water. Otherwise, for tne price, its good...
We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which was kept clean daily though I doubt the bedlinens were changed daily. While it is a relatively quiet place, it was rather noisy outside the building. We stayed in two different apartments on two separate occasions. The first faced the main road and it does get rather noisy with traffice noise, especially the tooting of vehicle horns after 6 am. The second apartment faced a multi-storey carpark, which was quiter but unfortunately, there were some renovation works going on. Exactly at 7 am, the pneumatic drills will start - even on Sundays! How hardworking they are but poor us, we couldn't sleep. The hot water boiler had the habit of turning itself off regularly. So, while showering it was not unusual to have to shout for someone to turn it on again or suffer a very cold shower. The boiler sits in the kitchen. There is no gym at this hotel although on its website it says it has one. Other than four glasses and two tea cups, there are no other utensils such as plates, knives, spoons, kettle or chopsticks, which one expects to find in a service apartment. The staff were generally helpful and they do smile. Service is quite prompt. The free afternoon coffee (from a coffee making machine) served in the atrium was good. Breakfast is of reasonable standard, that is, if you like eating Chinese breakfast items. Breakfast coupons are issued per room, not by the number of people registered to stay in the apartment. So if you need more coupons you have to pay 10 RMB each. But that's like USD1.25. Getting back to the hotel was always a problem as you have to give very clear instructions to the taxi drivers. You need to specify that it is at the east side of Chong Qing Nan Lu (South Chong Qing Road), at the cross roads with Shijiahui Lu. Showing the drivers the hotel card with the map drawn on it was seldom of any use. But for the price we paid, plus the big spacious space and large beds with firm mattresses, one can't complain too much...

The apartment was a good size, quiet despite being located near a really busy, noisy road. The location was excellent for us- just in between the old French Concession and the old Chinese town. The staff were friendly and helpful and we also really liked the restaurant downstairs- very good local food and not expensive...
We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was exceptionally spacious and clean. The ensuite and seperate bathroom were fantastic. Even though the kitchen was fully appointed with appliances (except a kettle or microwave)the only accessories were 2 cups and 2 spoons (this is for 4 persons) we had to repeatedly ask for a kettle. I would definately stay here again, our problems were quickly sorted out and the staff tried their best to understand English and were very helpfull. There is a great restaurant 2 doors up and hailing taxis no problems, Would definately stay here again..
Great, reasonably priced place to stay. Clean, spacious rooms with DSL access if you bring a computer. The staff is friendly, and the hotel restaraunt serves good food...
