When I went to collect my ticket in Hong Kong fast train station to Guangzhou north I must pay a fee, because Hong Kong is different than mainland China. No other way to collect just pay a little fee and can give ticket to me... is what the attendant told me...
Overall experience was very good. Trains in 1st class were clean, tidy, plenty of room and well run. A little difficulty on the outbound trip from Hong Kong in trying to identify which counter to line up in to collect pre paid tickets with varying advice from officials but we got there - just. Having got the return tickets at the time of getting the outbound tickets made the return trip extremely simple...
Extremely easy and straightforward to use. They made it easy to book the tickets and their help options made it so straightforward to get my tickets at the station...
We arrived later than planed. When we sent to pick up the tickets at Kowloon, we where told that it was to late...
Our tour guide Claire was the best! She was sweet and kind and exeptionally helpful! Thank you you Claire, we really enjoyed it!..

But I spent (with a lot of Chinese people) many night hours in front of the Shanghai Hongqiao Railway station, which was closed during night. Information about closing time of the stations could be provided in your instructions...
