Go sightseeing at Beijing Hutong in Shichahai Scenic Area. Hutongs are a type of narrow streets or alleys formed by lines of siheyuan, traditional courtyard residences. They are not only part of Beijing residences, but also an indispensable part of Beijing culture. The Southern Gong and Drum Lane(Nanluoguxiang Lane) is also one of the most famous hutong areas in Beijing. It consists of 16 hutongs in shape of a fishbone or a centipede. It was formed in the Yuan Dynasty (AD.1267).
Then you will visit Yonghegong Lama Temple, which was a residence for Emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. It was built in the 33rd year of Kangxi’s reign (1694) and was changed into a Emperor’s palace in the 3rd year of Yongzheng’s reign (1725). In the 9th year of Qianlong’s reign (1744), it became a temple of the Lama Buddhist sect.
Then you will see the lovely giant pandas at Pandas' House in Beijing Zoo. On the way back to the downtown, you will have a exterior visit of the Olympic Stadiums. Take you back to the hotel after the tour.
