Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park (Lunch)

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and then visit Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the World, the scenic spot here includes the Tiananmen Gate, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Great Hall of the People and Monument to the People's Heroes. The flag raising ceremony will be held in Beijing's Tiananmen Square everyday. The national flag will be raised and lowered on the same time the sun rises and sets.
Then discover the Forbidden City, the largest ancient imperial palaces group in the world with 500 years history. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for about 1.5-2 hours. After Lunch, visit the Jingshan Park, climb up a 47.5-meter-high hill to take a bird's view of the Forbidden City.
Then drive to visit Temple of Heaven where the ancient Emperors paid their homage to God to pray for that the country flourishes and people live in peace in the next year. Back to hotel after the tour.

Notes:

Passport is required when tourists visit the Forbidden City and the Tian'anmen Square.Make sure that you take your passport with you.
Mao Zedong Mausoleum open 8:30am-11:30am Tues- Sun. 2:00pm-4:00pm on Tues&Thur. The specific time is accordance with the notice board around Mausoleum.

Day 2  The Great Wall and Summer Palace (Lunch)

Pick up from your hotel. Drive to the Great wall (60 miles away from downtown about one and half hour's driving). Sightseeing on the most famous part of the Great Wall, Badaling section(or Mutianyu section, choose one), visit for about 2-2.5 hours.
Then drive back to downtown. on the way have an outside view of Bird's Nest and Water Cube. After Lunch, visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden with a history of over 800 years. The scenic spots here are: 1. East palace gate, 2. the hall of benevolence and longevity, 3. hall of jade billows, 4. the hall of joyful longevity, 5. the covered walkway, 6. the marble boat, etc. Back to hotel after the tour.

Day 3  798 Art Zone,Hutong (Lunch)

Pick up from your hotel in the morning, first resort will be 798 Art Zone(or Lama Temple choose one). The 798 Art Zone was once the place for Beijing North China wireless joint equipment factory (namely, 798 Joint Factory), which was designed and built by the experts of former G.D.R in the 1950s. Now, many art organizations and artists came to rent the vacant plants and transformed them, gradually formed a district gathered galleries, art studios, cultural companies, fashion shops etc.
Then we will drive to National Grand Theater, designed by French architect Paul Andreu. It looks like an egg from the outside.
After lunch,  take a Hutong rickshaw tour where you are going to experience the local people's life and the city's history. Siheyuan(quadrangle courtyard) stands at both sides of a narrow lane. Then back to hotel and finish this tour.

No shopping private tour is suitable for those individuals or family travelers who are not willing to take the tour with tourist souvenir shops. We guarantee that there is no shopping stop during the tour. Therefore, the cost of a no-shopping tour is higher than a normal tour. No-shopping tour may finish earlier than normal tourist tours which will save your time.
