Day 1 (Lunch)
1.Pick up from your hotel in the morning and then visit Tian'anmen Square, the largest square in the World, the scenic spot here includes the Tian'anmen Gate, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Great Hall of the people and Monument to the People's Heroes. The flag raising ceremony will be held in Beijing's Tian'anmen Square everyday. The national flag will be raised and lowered on the same time the sun rises and sets.
2.Then discover the Forbidden City, the largest ancient imperial palaces group in the world with 500 years history. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for about 1.5-2 hours.
3.After Lunch. Visit the Jingshan Park, climb up a 47.5-meter-high hill to take a bird's view of the Forbidden City.
4.Then drive to visit Temple of Heaven where the ancient Emperors paid their homage to God to pray for that the country flourishes and people live in peace in the next year. then back to hotel.
Note: Passport is required when tourists visit the Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. Make sure you take your passport with you.
Chairman Mao Memorial Hall opens from 8:30am-11:30am Tues- Sun. 2:00pm-4:00pm on Tues&Thur. The specific time is accordance with the notice board around Mausoleum.
Day 2 (Lunch)
1.pick up from your hotel. drive to the Great Wall (60 miles away from downtown about one and half hour's driving). Sightseeing on the most famous part of the Great Wall, Badaling section(or Mutianyu section, choose one), visit for about 2-2.5 hours.
2.After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs, the best preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history, and visiting Changling, the largest one, Emperor Yongle's Tomb (about 1 hours).
3.At last, visit the Sacred Road which is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors. then back to hotel.
Day 3 (Lunch)
1.Pick up from your hotel and drive to Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden with a history of over 800 years. the scenic spots here are: 1. East palace gate, 2. the hall of benevolence and longevity, 3. hall of jade billows, 4. the hall of joyful longevity, 5. the covered walkway, 6. the marble boat, etc.
2.Next visit the Olympic Green the National Indoor Stadium(Bird's Nest) and National Swimming Center(Water Cube), those two stadiums are close to each other. their building design just embody the traditional Chinese architecture concept: The sky is round and the earth is square. representing their homage to Heaven and Earth. then drive to your hotel.
Day 4 (Lunch)
1.Pick up from your hotel in the morning, first resort will be 798 Art Zone, was once the place for Beijing North China wireless joint equipment factory (namely, 718 Joint Factory), which was designed and built by the experts of former G.D.R in the 1950s. Now, many art organizations and artists came to rent the vacant plants and transformed them, gradually formed a district gathered galleries, art studios, cultural companies, fashion shops etc.
2.Next we will drive to National Grand Theater, Designed by French architect Paul Andreu, It looks like a egg from the outside.
3.After lunch, we will visit Hutong and hike from Houhai to Nanluoguxiang.
