Awful Customer Service, didn't reply to my emails and didn't refund my ticket after I cancelled. Stay away from this company as you will be very disappointed!..
It was not an easy programm step, the booking of the railway from Beijing to Harbin for our East-Asia tour in January. First, the tickets can only be issued within 30 days before the departure date. But instead of a confirmation of our booking for the train at about 10am we got the information that the train had been cancelled by the railway company. The same happened for the scheduled train at half past 7am. Finally we had a train at 2pm which arrived at half past 9pm in Harbin West instead of Harbin Central. The support of chinatour.net for supplementary information about connections and so on was excellent...
The only problem I had was that the website says that the tickets can be picked up at any railway station, but when I went to Shanghai West Railway Station to pick up the tickets I was told that I would have to go to the main Shanghai Railway Station or to Hongqaio Railway Station. Apart from that all was good...
This was a great tool to get in contact with our tour guide. We would of never been able to get around and see what we did without thos service. Pricing was very reasonable to. 100% recommended to anyone with no car, and doesnt know the language well...
Worst experience ordering a train ticket. Chinatour was happy to take my money quickly, but took 3 weeks later to return my money after failing to book a ticket. I would not recommend this company. Use C tours or another company to order tickets...
I have still not got my partial refund for my train ticket that i changed....and the prices you guys have charged are too too high compared to the actual prices...this is frustrating..
Reasonably efficient booking system. Except that for the return leg, they didn't manage to get the first-class tickets I wanted and asked for me to take the second-class tickets, when I had reserved it long ago. Managed to get a later timing tickets, but received them only one day prior, so that was also a little heartstopping...

Seating planning is random? I have booked online ChinaTour.NET 2 traveller ticket to & fro from HK to Guangzhou South.. As a couple we do prefer seats are together , but the seat is one front one the other corner. ( take note I booked the ticket 3 month ago)..
