Excellent guide. Fantastic experience and very insighfull commentary and historical explanations. Would do this again with the same guide and driver..
I really enjoyed the tour, Great Wall & Ming Tombs. The tour itself was well organized and a guide was so talented. And the lunch was excellent though I didn't expect it so at all. I would love to recommend this tour to my friends...
Thank you so much for a wonderful Beijing experience! We enjoyed the whole Great Wall-Ming Tombs tour. All 9 members of our family, from age 12 to 61, had so much fun! We are so grateful to our very fluent English-speaking tour guide. We are so mesmerized at his knowledge of his country, including its culture and tradition. Song is definitely a company asset specially for your foreign tourists! The lunch was definittely a pleasant surprise! The "packed lunch" turned out to be a "lauriat of 10 dishes"! The side-trips to the Jade and Silk market is wirth our while. Now, all members of our family have the jade pendants "to help improve our health". The Chinese silk quilts are worth possessing; the luxurious feel makes one dream to go back to China!..
This was a great tour that allowed for a lot of time at the Great Wall and provided a good tour of the Ming Tombs as well. Unfortunately, this tour does not provide the opportunity to visit the underground catacombs, rather spending all its time at the ChangLing tomb where you cannot go underground. Would prefer to have visited DangLing, although the tour does specify ChangLing. Again ,very aggressive sales presentations throughout the day, spending more than half hour at jade and cloissone factories. Good tour guide (Sherman) provided a great deal of historical information and was very flexible in regards to which section of the wall the group preferred to visit, passenger drop-off etc. Highly recommend this tour, but would prefer sales presentations be attenuated in the future...
We were picked up on time for our tour by Jenny. She did a good job of trying to explain to everyone but it was made difficult as we were an english speaking tour and some people wanted to have it done in chinese as they were over there to learn chinese. Despite of this we did the tour to Ming Tombs first and then on to the Great Wall what a sight. It was a really good trip and a sight I will always remember. Thank you Jenny..
We enjoyed the whole Great Wall-Ming Tombs. This was one of the best tours for the price we have ever taken. We have been travling the world extensively for eleven Years...
One-day Tour of the Tombs and Great WAll was very good. The timing was perfect. We started early in the morning which was good so as to climb the wall before lunch (it was hot up there). Compared to other tours we took, the prices were better in this group tour (160 RMB each and as Spanish speakers it was more entertaining a group than alone with a guide). Outlets was the lowest point for us, since all tours take you to the same places in every city: tea ceremony, silk factory and jade outlets. The Wall a must, the Ming Tombs not as good as expected, we enjoyed the Chinese luncheon. Advice: This year the tour should include Beijing Stadium (known as Nido) since the Olympic Games are taking place in this city next year. We saw it from a distance and it was very dissapointing not to go nearer. We had the time to do it and everybody would have loved it...
We chose an escorted tour for just my wife and I and so had the undivided attention of our tour guide - Rita. Rita\'s knowledge was superb and her English was excellent. I would definitely recommend doing the tour this way as you simply don\'t miss a thing. I managed to walk to the top of the wall but this was a real challenge and good shoes are a necessity. The leg and foot massage at the Chinese Traditional Medicine practitioner (free and part of the tour) was most welcome!..
The tour was overall a good experience. However, I felt a little rushed and didn\'t feel like I had enough time at the Great Wall. I was a little dissappointed in the Ming tombs, I don\'t feel like we saw anything interesting there. We paid 160RMB for the Wall and then were told we had to pay another 60RMB for a cable car when we got there, which turned out to be a necessary part in our journey. The guide was very friendly and very informative and the bus was comfortable. I would definately use this service again... Very good experience!..
We like 1 Day Tour: Great Wall, Ming Tombs because our guide knew a lot about the area we were in. It was very interesting to hear all about the history of the Ming Tombs and also the great wall. Guide Leo was wonderful and timed our trip on the Wall when there were not many others up there. As we were leaving to go home hordes of tourists were coming in. Thanks for the great day Leo!..
We paid RMB240 per pax for a private tour for 8pax. The tour guide was friendly and quite informative and familiar with the history but the coach driver was impatient and not helpful. We ask to stop by one of the other Ming Tombs which was nearby and we ended up paying RMB400 for him to make a short detour - but we had no choice as our tour did not include the Underground Ming Tomb which we really wanted to visit. The coach driver was not friendly service oriented...
I took the 1 day Ming Tomb and Great Wall tour. The guide's name was May and she was excellent in English. Our group had 6 english speaking participants, very comfortable group in a minibus. Overall, we had had a great time. Thanks!..
I booked the whole day tour to the Great Wall and Ming Tombs, after scouring the internet, comparing tours and prices. As promised, I received the call from our tour guide, Liu (he calls himself Jackson - after Michael Jackson!), the night before and we were collected from our hotel the following morning. There were ten others with us on the tour, from Iran, Malaysia, Canada and the USA. The day was absolutely full! We had about 2.5 hours at the Wall, which was enough time to walk a full circuit. This was spectacular and because we were the 'most mature' couple on the tour, we received many congratulations and much teasing - it was great fun! We visited outlets where there was jade, cloissonne and silk. It was very interesting to see the craftsmen at work and learn about the history of these - and then to have time to browse and purchase, without any pressure! We also visited the Ming tombs, where I was a little disappointed that we couldn't actually go into the tombs, but it was still very interesting and the gardens were lovely. Our guide was truly excellent. Without pushing or hurrying us along, we achieved so much in one day. We were returned to our hotel at 7 pm - which was 12 hours of tour, for 160 RMB, including a really fantastic lunch. Can't recommend this tour enough. I would definitely take it again if I was in Beijing...
Our first time to Beijing - my wife and I thought it advisable to book a day tour before we arrived and after browsing other services and websites your offer seemed as good as others - especially with your "pay the driver on the day of your tour" policy. Clicked OK and in hours we received a confirmation for the date we requested. Upon our arrival to our hotel, we phoned again to reconfirm and next morning the tour guide was in our lobby as promised and appologizing for only having a private car and driver for us as the group tour was cancelled. To our astonishment we were offered a discount since we would have no one else to chat with other than our tour guide. We gladly accepted the apologies without the discount. The tour was more than we bargained for in every sense. We were enchanted with our tour guide Sofia, and her kindness and her caring and mostly her professionalism and knowledge and great efforts to answer all our questions slowly and carefully. The tour of the Great Wall and Ming Tombs was very well organized and again no additional costs to us. The lunch was included and better than expected. We had no particular interest in shopping for jade or buying Chinese trinkets at the government store but we were left undisturbed to browse on our own and we ended up buying a few items we would not have otherwise. All in all the tour greatly enhanced our experience in Beijing. We took many pictures including our tour guide. We would not hesistate to recommend you to our friends and just as we read the positive reviews on your website, we hope this review will help others as well. Jack & Ruth Clarke...
The Great Wall and Ming Tomb tour from Beijing is very good value. Our guide, Rita, was very welcoming and her language skills were excellent. She gave some great insights not only into the sights themselves but also into what makes Beijing 'tick'. Heaps of food for lunch although a bit less time in the factories/workshops would be better!..
Die Tagestour war toll und hat uns viele interessante Eindrücke vermittelt. Die Abwicklung und Betreuung war ebenfalls super wie das Mittagessen im Restaurant...
we took your day tour to the Great Wall which included the Ming Tombs, it was fantastic value for the money. we really enjoyed Forest our guide, he did an excellent job we found him to be very informative. we have no reservations recommending this tour to anyone...
We went on a tour with your company while in Beijing on Nov.28. We were picked up at our Hotel and then went to The Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Lunch.. which was excellent and a foot massage. This was the best value tours we experienced in all our travels and our guide Song...( Forest) was excellent. He was the best tour guide we have had anywhere. His English was excellent, he knew so much about his country and the history behind all the places we saw. He was polite and patient. We all enjoyed his sense of humor and had a wonderful day with him. I wish we had more days to enoy more of your tours. This one was way above our expectations. Thanks you so much for making our stay in Beijing so wonderful, many thanks again to Song (Forest)...
We went on a tour with your company while in Beijing on Nov.28. We were picked up at the Capitol Hotel and then went to The Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Lunch and a foot massage. This was one of the best tours we experienced in all our travels and I say this because of our guide Song...( Forest). He was the best tour guide we have had anywhere. His English was excellent, he knew so much about his country and the history behind all the places we saw. He was polite and patient which isn't easy when you have so many different people on these tours from so many different countries. We all enjoyed his sense of humor and had a wonderful day with him. Thanks you so much for making our stay in Beijing so wonderful, many thanks again to Song (Forest). Susan Cullum..
A very good value for money tour. Tour guide Cindy provided great information on historical sites. Will book with Tour Guide China again the next time we wish to visit China...
Our trip to the great wall and the ming tomp was a great one and the guide Twinkle was a very nice informative one...
This was an exelent trip, and our guide Sindy were very friendly and informativ. The day was perfect and much more than we expected!!!!!..
WE had a very good time with our tour guide David who took us the the Wall and the Ming tombs. At the wall we saw some bears which were very entertaining. David was very informative about the wall, sites on the ride and other things to see in Beijing. We had a very nice lunch at the jade factory. David very kindly let us take a nap on the ride back to Beijing and woke us up very softly to show us "the birds nest " the new olympic stadium now being built for the 2008 Olympic Games. I would recommend this tour as it was very informative...
We love the tour. Except for the stiffling heat, which of course have nothing to do with the program, we have no complaints. The sites themselves need no comment. China is full of such historical wonders. Wendy (our guide) was very very friendly, informative, and helpful. If we ever come to Beijing again, we'd definitely ask for her again. One advice: better to plan your trip around October or March, when the temperatur & humidity is much friendlier, and it's not school holiday in China...
