Trains depart exactly on time. Ticket office in Hangzhou not open till 08.00 Although I booked a ticket from Lhasa to Xi'an in May, for travelling in September, it was not issued. No reason given. The only comment was that there was "no alternative". Cannot believe all tickets were already sold out in May. And if so, why could I book it in the first place? My tour operator suggested I try C-trip, from where I secured one of the last two tickets available. I had no problems with any of the other two train journeys I made...
Good service and reliable. However, the ticket price is different that what is shown on the website. E.g. a 2nd class ticket for Xiamen-Shanghai is shown as ¥331. But, we are charged for ¥416 - which is shown on the website as the price for the 1st class. So, it is confusing whether the online processing is working correctly...
We booked a round trip Shanghai / Suzhou. All ok as scheduled. It was our first time using trains in China and we were scared about possible misunderstanding due to language comunication. At the end everything was well indicated and easy to understand even withouth speaking or reading a single word in chineese. Only one remark: The name or the proper departing station should be placed in evidence in the booking confirmation. In shanghai there are 3 or 4 railway stations and it took sometime to understand which was our right departing station. I did a research via web using the train number...

Train reservations I think they should improve to have the availability of seats more quickly, often ask reserves and these were canceled by you for capacity. It would be nice service where as an airline, I can check in choosing my seat, I can see the availability of empty seats I just traveled in first class seats are very comfortable, the service is very good and the staff is very friendly serving The times of departure and arrival of the train are very good and accurate, function well..

In the beginning the communication was rather difficult .But after a while every piece of the puzzle fell into place. The only things you need are your passport and the E-numbers.We took trains from Beijing to X'ian and to Shanghai. After a short phonecall to the call center to check our E numbers,we went to the ticket office in the trainstation and even without speaking a word chinese everything was ok.We recommend ChinaTour to other travellers and we will use it for our future china visits Dirk Soetens Belgium..

issue with train booking reservation that I made months ago. no apology was offered. I was advised that my train was cancelled even though it still shows as available. China Tour did not book me on an alternative train. It was on a busy holiday. As a result all other trains were booked by the time I could check availability so I had to cancel my whole trip. Utterly disappointed...
