Our tour guide and private driver will meet you at Lhasa Kongga International Airport or train station and transfer you to the downtown hotel in Lhasa (altitude 3,650m) with about one and an half hours' driving(100km). On the way, you'll get greeted by Nie Tang Buddha, a Buddha image engraved in the mountain face.
After arriving at hotel,your guide will help you check in the hotel.Afterwards, you'd better have a rest and acclimatize yourself in case of high altitude reaction.

We recommend you take the morning flights, which are more punctual, so that you have enough time to rest and acclimatize yourself of the climate in Lhasa in advance.

After breakfast, your guide will be waiting at the lobby of your hotel.
You will start your exciting journey from the mysterious Potala Palace first, which is the most imposing attraction in Lhasa and one of architectural wonders of the world contains 13 storeys tall and thousands of rooms. We kindly suggest you take taxi to the top of the palace and then walk down after your visiting.
Have lunch at a local restaurant, where you could taste the typical Tibetan flavor.
After lunch, you will come to the Jokhang Temple , which is 1300 years old and is one of Tibet's holiest shrines. It was built to commemorate the marriage of the the Tang princess Wencheng to King Songtsen Gampo, and houses a pure gold statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by the princess.The temple is surrounded by the Barkhor Street . It is essentially a pilgrim circuit that proceeds clockwise around the periphery of the Jokhang Temple. It is also a hive of market activity, an astounding pilgrim jamboree, and a wonderful introduction to Tibet.

Taking photos with camera is not permitted inside the monasteries, and don’t wear hat, shorts and sleeveless when entering the Tibetan monasteries.

After having the special breakfast in hotel, you are about to open a day trip in Lhasa.
You will start your excursion from the "Jeweled Garden"—— Norbulingka Park , located in the west side of Lhasa is just around a 1 kilometer southwest of Potala Palace.It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.Afterwards, continue a trip to Drepung Monastery .It is 10km west of Lhasa City, dates back to the early 15th century. In its time it was the largest of Tibet's monastic towns and , some maintian, the largest monastery in the world.
After lunch, you will pay a visit to the Sera Monastery , It is about 5km north of Lhasa, Sera Monastery was founded in 1419 by a disciple of Tsongkhapa. Sera, Drepung and Ganden Monasteries functioned as the three "pillars of the Tibetan state".Then visit the Carpet Factory, the highland of Tibet is the actual home of the oriental carpets. By visiting Carpet Factory you will have a general idea how carpets are produced.

The seals should cover the name of the customers. If the visitors just travel in Lhasa, we need a copy of the passport. If the visitors travel outside Lhasa city, the team needs for a travel permit and the authorization Tourism Bureau permit, insurance and the security office of certification. When you visit Ali and the non-open areas, you need for the authorization of the Tibet Military District, visa and the Foreign Affairs Office forth permit. |
