This route include several UNESCO world heritage sites, such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and the Norbulingka and which also allow you enjoy the unique Yambajan Hot Spring.

Day 1  Lhasa Arrival


Our tour guide and private driver will meet you at Lhasa Kongga International Airport or train station and transfer you to the downtown hotel in Lhasa (altitude 3,650m) with about a and an half hours' driving(100km). On the way, you'll get greeted by Nie Tang Buddha, a Buddha image engraved in the mountain face.

After arrive in hotel,your guide will help you check in the hotel.Afterwards, you'd better have a rest and acclimatize yourself in case of high altitude reaction.

We recommend you take the morning flights, which are more punctual, so that you have enough time to rest and acclimatize yourself of the climate in Lhasa in advance.

Day 2  Lhasa

After breakfast, your guide will be waiting at the lobby of your hotel.
You will start your exciting journey from the mysterious Potala Palace first, which is the most imposing attraction in Lhasa and one of architectural wonders of the world contains 13 storeys tall and thousands of rooms. We kindly suggest you take taxi to the top of the palace and then walk down after your visiting.

Have lunch at a local restaurant, where you could taste the typical Tibetan flavor.
After lunch, you will come to the Jokhang Temple , which is 1300 years old and is one of Tibet's holiest shrines. It was built to commemorate the marriage of the the Tang princess Wencheng to King Songtsen Gampo, and houses a pure gold statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by the princess.The temple is surrounded by the Barkhor Street . It is essentially a pilgrim circuit that proceeds clockwise around the periphery of the Jokhang Temple. It is also a hive of market activity, an astounding pilgrim jamboree, and a wonderful introduction to Tibet.

Taking photos with camera is not permitted inside the monasteries,and don’t wear hat, shorts and sleeveless when entering the Tibetan monasteries.

Day 3   Lhasa - Namtso Lake - Lhasa

After having breakfast, start your journey to Yambajan(Yangpachen) , which is famous for its hot spring and is a nice choice for those who want to get a close look at the Tibetan herders (drokpa) and their semi-nomadic lifestyle.Covering an area of about 150,000 square meters, Yambajan, 87 kilometers away from Lhasa, is situated in the basin at the foot of Nyainqentanglha Mountains to the northwest of Lhasa.

Afterwards, continue a trip to Namtso Lake , which is located in Nagqu Prefecture, about 260 kilometers from Lhasa City and 60 kilometers from Damxung County. From Damxung to Namtso Lake, you have to drive on a gravel road and climb over a snow mountain. In the rainy season, the road, which may be destroyed the heavy rain, will make it difficult for the minibuses with low chassis to drive on.

After the tour, your guide and driver will escort you to return to Lhasa.

Day 4  Lhasa

After having the special breakfast in hotel, you are about to open a day trip in Lhasa.
You will start your excursion from the "Jeweled Garden"—— Norbulingka Park , located in the west side of Lhasa is just around a 1 kilometer southwest of Potala Palace.It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.Afterwards, continue a trip to Drepung Monastery .It is 10km west of Lhasa City, dates back to the early 15th century. In its time it was the largest of Tibet's monastic towns and , some maintian, the largest monastery in the world.

After lunch, you will pay a visit to the Sera Monastery , It is about 5km north of Lhasa, Sera Monastery was founded in 1419 by a disciple of Tsongkhapa. Sera, Drepung and Ganden Monasteries functioned as the three "pillars of the Tibetan state".Then visit the Carpet Factory, the highland of Tibet is the actual home of the oriental carpets. By visiting Carpet Factory you will have a general idea how carpets are produced.

Day 5  Lhasa Departure


After your tour comes to an end, your tour guide and driver will transfer you to the airport or train station from hotel and help you board the plane. Wish you have a nice trip!

Procedures for foreigners into Tibet:
A power of attorney which proves mainland agencies request Tibet travel agents receiving the visitors.
The travel groups information and the place of inbound and outbound.
China’s total tourist routes and the name of the local travel agency.
Mission number, nationality and the valid date of the visa.
The travel routes and entry time in Tibet and a detailed agenda.
The individual's nationality, name, occupation, age, sex and passport number.
The above information are all requested faxing the typed document. Handwritten and email are not available.
Travel agencies must have the text of the paper and the travel agencies' seals. The seals should cover the name of the customers.
If the visitors just travel in Lhasa, we need a copy of the passport.
If the visitors travel outside Lhasa city, the team needs for a travel permit and the authorization Tourism Bureau permit, insurance and the security office of certification.
When you visit Ali and the non-open areas, you need for the authorization of the Tibet Military District, visa and the Foreign Affairs Office forth permit.
