We were very happy with our tour! Our tour guide, Lisa, was very pleasant and knowledgable as she provided us with information and facts about Beijing history. She was very helpful and gave us time and space to appreciate the beautiful environments and landscapes. Overall we were satisfied and extremely happy with our tour guide, Lisa. :)..

In general, we enjoyed this nice tour on July 7, 2014. Mutianyu section of The Great Wall and Dingling Tomb were amazing. For the transportation between car parking area and the wall (cable car and toboggan ride) we had to buy tickets for a price of 100 RMB/person (July 2014). There were no alternatives. We also visited a pearl shop and a jade factory/shop to get information and especially to spend some money. It would be better to spend less time for these shops so that we would have more time in The Great Wall. Traditional Chinese lunch was also good. If our tour guide had his lunch with us, we would know what we were eating. Note that, you should pay additional money for the drinks during the lunch. We did not visit a tea market to watch traditional tea ceremony and to drink some tea as stated in the tour description. They picked up us from our hotel around 7:15 AM and dropped us to our hotel around 5:00 PM. Our driver were a reckless one, because he put us in danger several times during the trip...

This tour was a great tour for the price. We really enjoyed the jade factory. The lunch served there was delicious. The Ming tombs were interesting its a very serene place. The Mutianyu Great Wall was amazing, it was very quiet there, I have tons of photos with just myself in them....not hundreds of tourists. The silk factory was pretty cool as well. Bought some nice scarves. We also stopped for a photo of the birds nest. I highly recommend this tour to others...

We checked around upon arriving Beijing in the early morning free & easy and decided to book with China Tour after checking into our hotel. Booking was done online and confirmation by email was immediate. Kathy, our guide, called to confirm the pick up time for the next morning. Everything worked perfectly. First stop was the Great Wall at Mutianyu and the scenery was great. You must not miss riding the toboggan on the way down. Lunch at Mr Yang, a short walk from the wall was perfect with an ice cold beer. Second stop at the Ming Tomb was great too. The cool underground air inside the tomb on a hot Beijing summer needed no airconditioning. Next stop was the jade factory, a great place to pick up some genuine jade jewelries. Final stop at the tea house was perfect to enjoy some great tea including vintage PuEr served by a lovely English speaking lady. Overall we enjoyed the tour so much that we decided book with them again for the forbidden city/summer palace tour the next day...

The tour was great. The size of the tour (6 persons) was perfect. Tour guide David was amazing. The lunch is unforgettable. Only one let down: the Olympic Stadium 'visit' was from a far away pedestrian over-bridge; we expected to get closer...

The tour started with the Mutianyu Great Wall: it was the best part of this tour (maximum rating here). It was really wonderful. Our guide, Sarah, came with us with the cable car and provided explanations in a good English. She was really good and nice during the whole tour, and she is also well prepared (Sarah, as a guide, is absolutely recommended. I had her also in another tour, much better than this one). After that we went to the Ming Tombs. Honestly I expected something better. All the tombs, except 2, are closed. We had to choose one of the 2, and maybe our choice was not the best. We visited the one belonging to the first emperor (in the main site) but there was actually not too much to see, apart of a kind of museum: one big room only, without anything special to see inside; just some descriptions of part of the history of the Ming’s dynasty. No tombs were really visible; it was quite a short visit. Definitely under expectations! This part of the tour was about 1 hour only, and just before lunch. I would suggest to the tour organizer to extend this part of the tour to both tombs (even paying a bit more) and have lunch later. Maybe the other tomb is better than this one and anyway according to the tour, the time visit had to be 2 hours for the Ming tombs, and not only 1. Bird's nest and water cube visit, organized in this way, is absolutely useless. The bus stops 5 minutes and you don't have time even to visit it from outside (I mean you cannot walk there). There is just a place to see them from one position only, and not very near (half stadium was also covered by the cube structure). I cannot even say to my friends that I've seen the stadium... Finally we went to the Tea market and tasted some good Tea, having also some explanations of the processes to produce and prepare the Tea. My final opinion is to choose for half tour, visiting only the Mutianyu great wall and maybe the Tea market, and jump completely the Ming tombs and the Stadium: the afternoon was just wasted time. Hope it helps!..

The visit to Mutianyu was great. Not crowded at all. Sadly the guide did not tell us that we could go down the slideway. She told us to by return tickets at the cable car...

I did really enjoy my trip. However, they supposed to pick me up at 7.30am from my hotel which by the way, didnt happen. They came to the hotel around 8.30am when I gave up waiting at lobby and went back to my room. They explained me that they showed up late because another tourist got lost on the way that was why they had to find her. Because of this incident, our tour was little bit tight. I was expecting us to stop little longer at Olympic Stadium, however, we stopped there for like 10mins just for few pictures. I didnt even get a chance to have a full look at Olympic Stadium. Other than that everything was good. Trip was good, I would recommend this tour to my friends...

The tour to the wall and the Ming tombs was excellent, the toboggan ride from the wall was exhilarating and the Ming tour element was very informative. Lunch was also excellent and our tour guide David was very helpful. The tour is excellent. There are far more interesting places to visit than a quack!..

The tour pick up was late, which was uncomfortable as we were waiting in in the hot humidity of Beijing. There were only 4 people on the tour that day ,so the journey itself was very comfortable . The sights were great, but I cant say the same about the tour guide, who was quite unenthusiastic on the tour. The lunch provided was very good and they made special arrangements for a vegetarian meal , for which I am grateful..

It was worth the money compared to other tour prices. We drove past the Olympic area as we departed for Dingling in the morning. We didn\'t see much; just passed thru. The Dingling area was OK; not much to see. We also stopped at a Jade factory to learn and have lunch. The Mutianyu Great Wall was our next stop and was incredible and well worth the travel time to get there...

I went on this tour on 18 May, and it really was fantastic. Our guide Jenny was so good, and ever so patient with those who asked questions. There were 14 of us on the tour, which was just big enough. The Ming Tombs were super and Jenny was very knowledgeable about all their history. The visit to the Jade factory was delightful as was the wonderful meal we had at the restaurant there. The food was super and there was plenty of it too. The wall itself was spectacular. Scenery going up in the ski lift was so beautiful as all the new green leaves were out. The wall itself was so nice to walk on and also not as crowded as we had found the wall at Bandaling a few years ago. This was by far the nicer place to visit. Most of the folk came down by toboggan, but being older I used the lift once again. Unfortunately we were running very late which was no fault on the part of the driver or Jenny. so we had to miss the stadium drive past etc, which was not a problem at all. I would recommend this tour to everyone, who wants to travel in a small group, and it really was great value for money!!!..

I went to this tour in May, and I was very impressed with their quick response. We had a very last minute request, and we got an answer right away, to have the tour the very next day. The bus was good (although our pick up time was 6.50am), the guide was very nice and we had a great time. The only reason why I do not rate this tour as excellent, is because there is some misinformation about the tour. As part of the tour, people are taken to a jade museum, a pearl museum, or any other museum. You don't have to buy anything, but it is mandatory, and you cannot skip this. This makes the tour a little longer than needed, or planned. So, if you book this tour, is good to know that you will have to go to these "surprise" locations. It is nice, and interesting if you really have the time, or the energy, you might even find a nice souvenir, but I think you should be told, especially if you have time restrictions or are not interested. If we would have known, we would have booked a private tour with them, instead of the shared bus. The visit to the great wall back and forth (even the Mutianyu part), can be done in about 4 hours, instead of 10-12, that becomes with the tour (you get picked-up at 7.00 and returned to your hotel at around 7.00-8.00 depending on traffic). Consider this, especially if you are travelling with children. Other than that, I would recommend chinatour for the visits around Beijing. They have very competitive prices, they are reliable, and they are very friendly and helpful...

I LOVED this tour. The Wall is amazing. when we went there were no people on there and it was early and lovely! The drive out was nice as we drove through small towns outside of Beijing. "Cathy" was our guide and she was really nice, very personable and quite knowledgeable about the history and significance. Her English was good too. We started the day with this tour and then headed to the tombs. Again, lovely scenery. Lunch is included and it was tasty and ample. The best thing was the small size of the group we were only 3! It was almost like having a private guide for a fraction of the price. I recommend!..

We went on this tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs on Wenedsday, April 10th. Our visit of the Wall was a little bit too short - not even 2 hours. It was necessary to take cable car to the top, otherwise we would just clime up and have no time for the Great Wall. So, be ready to pay addtional 80 RMB for the cable car to the top and back. The stop at Jade Carvig Factory was interesting, but the shop assistents were annoying trying to sell something to us. Ming Tomb was interesting and we had enough time to see all important. We visited only one from 3 accessible tombs. The lunch provided was good - vegetables, chicken and pork, no fish. Taste was OK. Drinks were not included and expensive. Our tour guide Will was very experienced and had very good English. He also recomended good Acrobatic show for the evening and took us to the theater to get ticket for 180RMB...

Visiting China the Great Wall is a must and you wont be disapointed. I looked at many tour companies before deciding on Chinatour.Net So pleased I booked with them .They did every thing they promised and a little more than we expected. Ted our guide was great also our driver .driving around Beijing can be a nightmare but we felt in safe hands. With only three days in Beijing we booked two days touring with china tour and saw more than we ever would have if we had traved independanly. I dont do comments normaly but thought this might help some body else looking for a good company. enjoy your trip to Beijing..

The tour was really nice. The best part is the great wall (really impressive!!!), but even the Ming tombs are enjoyable. The tour guide was nice and gently (but I don't remember her name...). The Olympic park was nothing else that a drive through with not even a stop for a picture. During the day we lost too much time visiting shops (the jade factory, the silk factory, etc). Only the Tea ceremony was meaningfull, all other stops were a waste of time (nobody bought the overpriced $100 jade statues or the silk). Anyway the tour was fun and well priced (260 yuan). I was in a 5 people van...

We booked tours in both Beijing and Xian with ChinaTour.Net, and enjoyed them all. On this tour, our guide Jenny was fantastic, and we had a fabulous day. We especially enjoyed the Great Wall, Ming Tombs, the fabulous jade produced at the jade factory and silk factory where we purchased some excellent things for home. It was also nice to see the site of the Olympic Games while on this tour. Excellent value!..

Last 2010, my husband and I went on a two day tour with your company. It was really great particularly with the tour guide named \"Tony\". This year we brought our two kids along and booked with you hoping to get the same experience. The Underground Palace, Mutianyu wall (cable, slide down and the wall itself), were superb. Side stops to selling areas are okay. If we chance to visit China again, we will reconsider CHinaTour.Net...

Our tour started well, our guide Emmett contacted us the night before and in the morning to confirm our booking and arrange pickup. He had good knowledge of what he was going to show us and also at the Ming Tombs and Great Wall. Cheers, Jeffrey Richards..

We attended this tour with only 2 other tourists. The tour guide - Amed - was very knowledgeable about the places that we visited and took the time to give us detailed information. We most definitely enjoyed the Mutianyu Great Wall the most - we took the cable cars to the top and took a slide down to the bottom again - way cool... Unfortunately the driving experience to the Great Wall was bad. The driver drove recklessly through the curves and bends in the mountain passes and through the villages. 2 of us actually become carsick and we had to ask the drive twice to slow down. The tour guide was not very sympathetic and explained after the tour that the traffic was bad and therefore the driver had to drive at a higher speed. We all disagreed as it was spring festival and there was virtually no traffic. This was our 2nd time using ChinaTour.net and although this experience could\'ve been better, our previous tour was great with no problems. We will probably use ChinaTour.net again, but this time we will make sure that it is with a bigger group where a coach is used, not a small minivan...

There were just the four of us on the Mutianyu tour which I thought was great value for the price. They were also very flexible as my friend was able to join us at the last moment. The driver and tour guide were pretty friendly and knowledgeable...
